Dream of my maternal mother dying.

Last night i dreamed my maternal mother died and I was extremely grief sticken, I was inconsoluble and could not move from where I was. My father was there and my husband came briefly but he could not move me i just layed curled in the fetal position on a brown mound like a blanket. Also in the dream I was with my mother before she died, in our family home, which she is still currently living in. Iam worried about what this could mean and it is making me feel very sad today.

It might be worth mentioning that my mother considers herself an athiest and gets upset if i mention anything to do with God around her. I cannot enjoy a closeness with my mother because she has emotionally distanced herself from everyone and cannot express her feelings, she is cold in heart, that's the way i see it, she has never expressed love or compassion to me or given me a loving cuddle. No one can get close to her and mostly she just expresses anger, despite that i still know that she loves me in her own way. I feel so sad that i can't help her.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so practical and literal in my interpretations but I can't help the way I see things. My dreams are very practical and very literally fulfilled therefore I can see the practical and literal in dreams.

I believe that your dream is a literal dream about your mother's death. However, that doesn't mean it is around the corner. In my dreams, I have found that the more emotionally intense a real life situation will be, the father off I see it into the future. For example, I had a dream of my grandfather dying ten years ago and he is still alive. I have no doubt it was about the real event but it didn't happen right away. Therefore, this could be entirely literal but not happen for decades but you see it now because it means so much to you.

I believe sometimes we see these things for prayer and intercession. Our love and care provokes us to intercede more fiercely than if we didn't have this kind of dream. Just continue to pray for your mother's salvation, don't worry, and leave the rest up to God. And remember when you pray for your mother that, no matter how much you love her and care about her salvation, God loves her and cares about her salvation infinite amounts more than you do and when you pray He will do His best on her behalf.

Thank you Mia for your reply, you have confirmed what i was sensing myself but was too fearful to acknowledge. It has helped to be reminded that everything is in God's time. I am less anxious now but initially i was worrying and wondering if i was going to get that phone call that no wants to get.
