Olive Oil & Swiss Cheese

Post by Mia Sherwood on Sun Jul 18, 2010 6:59 am

I went to my aunt's house and I saw tons of swiss cheese in her cupboard. The weird thing about it is the piles of swiss cheese were all different colors. In another cupboard were more slices of swiss cheese but they were individually wrapped.

Then, I was looking for some oil and I couldn't find any but then I discovered a cupboard that I hadn't looked in before that a very small bottle of olive oil and in it was a little bit of olive oil.

Hi Mia,

I have yet to take the accuracy test.

I found your dream curious because I have also dreamt of a huge slab of swiss cheese.

My take on it was that is was aged and pefected Holy Spiritual Food from God....(swiss has one of the longest most precise processes)

The Milk is unpastuerized, fresh and has come from cows that are fed specific diet...(curious how unpateurised rhymes with Pastor?) This tells me this is food directly from the Holy Spirit's revelation of the Word (or strait from the cow) and not through the teaching of man.
This process involves heating/cooking at specific temperatures: fermenting, (addition of cultures) pressing, molding, marking, covering and aging.

(These ingredients act to coagulate the milk, turning it into a jelly-like mass of curds. This is then simultaneously cut up and stirred with a "cheese harp" - so called because it is strung with wires like the musical instrument.) This is a separation process
(Sanctification: Set apart ot be made Holy)
So in addition to this active process of creation is praise!

There is a process that presses the curd through a seive...ouch!

The cheeze is molded into shape and marked for identification.

And in aging there is humidity (Water in vaporized form)
Time, and temperature.

There is the addition of brine (salt) to the outer layers of the cheeze for preservation.

(In the cellars, (times of darkness of the soul, grief, faith building) as the natural fermentation continues, they continue to be rubbed with brine and turned. Some cheeses have a special recipe for this daub. Appenzeller, for example, is treated with a mixture of white wine, herbs and spices.)

Storing of cheese is also very important.

Anyways,
It seems to me that these stores of Holy Food are for specific separate uses (different colors) and can be individually served to others.
As far as why they are in your aunts cupboards, I would say there is a spiritual gifting, a very specialized art (Making cheese IS an art form) that is generationaly passed down in your family line that you will be given access to.
All sounds good to me.

Oh almost forgot the Olive Oil...Well, annointing fits for now, but there is probably more to that as well..olives have deep spiritual significance as well.

This is just a thought Mia. When I think of cheese I think of dairy. That causes growth. All the different colors are maybe the different types of growth. I think the cupboard indicates a dependency on what is in there. Of course to me the oil represents the Holy Spirit.

So maybe the Lord is showing you all the different people on the board here and how you grow because they grow spiritually. That growth is due to your dependancy on the Holy Spirit. I see this as a positive dream. A dream to encourage you. I sense you need that right now.

I pray this has been helpful to you,

Love in Jesus,

Connie

Hello Mia,
I also believe what Dove does concerning this dream (and I love all that information from "piano")
Here is why I believe it represents the website also.
My first question was when seeing this dream: why a "cupboard" instead of just a kitchen "cabinet"? They both do the same thing: hold and store. For me, the keyword here is "board": computer board; Motherboard (you are the Mother of this website). These store (the cupboard stores) data, such as your website. The "cupboard" symbolizes the computer. The cupboard is "storing" the cheese. The website is "storing" the data.
We anoint with oil. The oil shows me this is a website that is anointed of God.
I thank you for this website and the time you have dedicated to it. Many lives are affected by it in their growth in the Kingdom of God. I know this to be true because I am one of those people who are affected by it. Again, many thanks for this website.

Re: Olive Oil & Swiss Cheese

Post by Mia Sherwood on Sun Jul 18, 2010 8:08 pm

Ok. My aunt is suing my parents for control of my grandfather's finances and health care. My aunt has not spoken or visited with my grandfather for twenty years because he vocally disapproved of her leaving her husband for another man. My grandfather took her out of his will and off his life insurance policy.

Now, she is trying to sue for guardianship.

I asked the Lord for an answer to the court case.

I checked the bible for the symbol of olive oil and the most coommon symbolism specifically for olive oil, other than the general symbol of oil for anointing, the promised land was described as being a land of olive oil.

The bible didn't have a symbol definition for swiss cheese so I typed "Swiss Cheese Dream Symbol" into google and this is the only symbol definition that I found:

Swiss Cheese

  • To dream of Swiss cheese, foretells that you will come into possession of substantial property, and healthful amusements will be enjoyed.

Since my aunt's house was the house with the cheese, I found this particularly distrubing but I'm not putting much stock into it because it was a secular definition and not reliable.

But..... since this was what I was praying for an answer about I found it interesting that the most common definitions for those two symbols is prosperity.

Re: Olive Oil & Swiss Cheese

Hello,
Since we have more information here, this is just some thoughts.
A cupboard/cabinet stores what is hidden until the door(s) are opened up.
Color is a covering. A covering conceals or hides. Does your aunt have a lot to conceal or hide?
Swiss cheese has a lot of holes in it. Maybe what she has to say in court will have a lot of holes in it.
Oil can also represent "love one to another". Since you were looking for oil in her cupboard: have you ever wondered if your aunt has any love towards you all? There was a little oil in the bottle you found.
Again, just some thoughts here.

Re: Olive Oil & Swiss Cheese

Post by Mia Sherwood on Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:57 am

Thank you, one door. She definitely does have a lot to conceal. =)

I'm certain that my aunt loves me. Until this issue with my grandfather, I got on with her better than with my own mother.

Here is what I was thinking: because I usually rely on the bible first for my symbols I lean toward those first, and if they fit the situation perfectly, I definitely lean toward that:

The one example of many colors in the bible that sticks out to me right off the bat is the coat of many colors. Not coincidentally, it is also about an inheritance from his father. Jacob has a favorite son, Joseph, & gives him a coat of many colors. The many colors in my dream represents favor and an inheritance from Jacob's father.

Having many piles of cheese stacked up the same way money is usually stacked, in bundles, in her cupboard represents coming into the inheritance.

That I was looking in her cupboard for the oil represented me asking God what the outcome of the case would be. Not finding it at first represents that I didn't get the answer the same night that I prayed. It took a couple weeks. Maybe the oil represents the size of the prosperity.

The weird thing that I forgot to mention in the dream was, before I saw the cheese I saw that my aunt was teaching a class too. I can't imagine what she would be qualified to teach.

Hi Mia,

For many years my aunts and uncles were very unique and special to me because I felt like they could see me, so much better than my own parents. Perhaps they could, because they were outside looking in.

Perhaps you are being given through intercession for your aunt, (even stemming from a problem) a way to be the one (through Him) outside looking in at her spirit and special qualities that some of the rest of her close relations have been blind to, and lost out on along the way.

I do believe every opportunity to pray gives more opportunity to pray, a path He is constantly guiding.

Piano,

I got on better with my aunt because she was actually nice to me whereas my mother really wasn't that nice.

This situation is definitely an opportunity to pray!

For some reason when I think of the oil in the cupboard I think of the Shunamite women with Elisha. The oil was enough to pay her debts- she prospered through the instruction of the prophet.

Mia
When I think about swiss cheese, I turn my nose up. Its not a common choice for sandwiches, etc like American and Cheddar are. I believe its for people with eclectic tastes.

Does your aunt have unique interests that are different from the rest of your family that may seem kind of odd or strange? When I think of cupboard I think more with Unaday, "plenty", "overflow", "more than enough" etc.

Whatever the situation with your aunt, I believe all things will work out and there will be an overflow, or something stored up that will be useful for an unexpected time.

When I thought of oil, I thought of "new wine" as mentioned in Joel 2:24

please pray on what I've said as this is an observation

My aunt did get her inheritance granted to her from the judge.

Then later, I felt a revelation from the Lord that the olive oil is a second part which represents the next court date in which my aunt will be given limited power (anointing).

I am still at awe how God uses symbols with different meanings eg I would never figure that swiss cheese would mean inhertiance but Mia you realized that it was because of the amount and variety!!! Your style of interpretation was simple but very accurate....I am learning alot from you...keep interpretating!!!!

Gissy,

The key for me is the bible. The bible is the key to interpreting anything accurately and it always make sense and it's always right on. When I go to the bible first, I always get an answer that is accurate.
