Reading Someone Elses Autobiographical Book

Post by JMS28 on Sun Jun 13, 2010 8:54 pm

I was wondering if someone could interpret a
dream for me. Basically I had a dream about my friend. She is my age and is an artist. She draws, writes, is an activist for animals and has her own
website that is really popular. Anyway, her name is Jamie and she is not
a Christian but does believe in a God, but does not really know the
truth.

A few weeks ago God really placed her on my heart and I
have been praying for her salavation. The reason is because if she gets
saved, a lot of other people will come to know Him as a result since she
is on a public platform and is influential. We have been exchanging
messages and she is telling me that she is looking for her next move in
life and does not know where she is going.

Anyway...in the dream,
I was reading a book that she wrote. The book was one that she wrote
about her life and it had lots of black and white pictures of her in it.
She has actually never written a book, so I found it strange that I was
reading one about her. What do you think this means? I know it does not
mean that she should quit her job and become a published writer or
anything, but what else could it mean? At first I thought it was a sign
for me since I always wanted to write a book..so I was thinking that God
was telling me to write a book. Then I thought that since she has a
very popular webiste that lots of people come to see everyday, maybe its
a metaphor of some sort that we as her viewers are "reading her book."
But now I am not sure anymore. What does it mean if you are reading
someone elses book in your dream? Any ideas? She was really flattered
that I had this dream about her, and now we both want to know what it
means.

I remember the dream really well..it was really short and to the point. In the dream the only pages I saw were the black and white photos of her in the book. But nothing more. There is no subject matter, no idea or concept that was presented in the dream. Its not that I cannot remember, its just that there was no subject. It was a book about her.

Perhaps it will help if you see her website...perhaps not. Her website is about her and her work...and in the dream the book was about her. I promise I am not trying to spam this forum, so if moderators want to remove this link, I will understand as that is what it sort of looks like I am doing. I am not, I am just trying to give you as much information as possible with the brief dream I had. I pressume that the book would have the topics that she is most interested in...humanity, animals, peace, freedom etc. These are all concepts found on her site.

Her web address is: www.jamieleigh.net

I just remember that I had the dream in the day time when I was napping. It was not at night. I dont think that has anything to do with it, but I am just trying to be as detailed as I can be.

I haven't taken the accuracy test and I am new to dream interpretation, you should pray over this dream and throw out whatever you feel God is not saying. But I think the book is simply about her life. When you look at a photo album it tells us a story about the person, perhaps, in some way you will be involved in her life story so God wants you to look at her past in order to pray for her?

Thank you very much for your response Gissy2. Your words do make sense and I will continue to pray about this in greater detail. Yes, photos do tell a story about a person. I had a friend tell me that anytime we see black and white in our dreams, it really gives you a glimpse of the person and how they view the world....as black and white etc.

Thank you again, and keep interpreting those dreams! :)

I work in a school library and there is a quote on a poster: You are the author of your own life story. But we know we really aren't, are we?!

My thoughts go to good and evil with the black and white. She is the author of her own life, judging her own actions. I'm not a dream interpreter, just sharing what the Lord opened up to me about good and evil. In creation there were 2 trees. One was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the other the tree of Life (Jesus).

Is the Lord showing you that your friend, at this time in her life, believes she knows what is best? She is her own judge. She judges what is right or wrong. That is HIS job. Your friend believes for now she is her own author (she wrote this book you said).

Thank you JM, I appreciate what you have said and yes I would continue to pray over the dream until you get a clear answer.
