putting on old lipstick

Post by Nyagali on Mon May 31, 2010 7:03 am

I did a search for lipstick and there hasn't seemed to be a discussion on this. LOL!

In my dream all I could see was myself looking in a mirror putting on old lipstick. I knew it was old because it seemed to clumped up and not go on nicely.
Any thoughts?

Thanks! of course. I have been struggling with some words with some people I work with so maybe, yes, I am seeing the "lumps" as what I perceive to not be so pretty. I know only what God produces out of my mouth has beauty!
Thank you!

Hi Joy -

These are just thoughts, not an interpretation...

Another thing that came to mind is that the lipstick is old, it's no longer useful, no longer serves its intended purpose...is there anything IRL that could be communicated but isn't worth it now because it no longer useful/helpful to communicate it?

The other way that I've seen lipstick used in dreams is as a coverup...lipstick changes the lips but but the change is superficial, the real change hasn't occurred....

Does this apply to anything going on IRL?

The same thing came to my mind that Lurdys said..."superficial"...or "painting over".

Do not fight FOR victory, but fight FROM THE PLACE of victory. Jesus has ALREADY won the battle!

This is it. When I recall the dream the lipstick WAS old. Things to ponder....thank you so much. You know the longer I'm on here the more and more convinced I get about these little dreams that can seem so insignificant and yet this is huge in my life. Thank you.

To God be the glory! Amen! I find the same thing...the short dreams often hold a deep message...

Thanks Lola, there are so many verses that come to mind with putting off the old and a new tongue...

I do wonder about those long rambling dreams I get. I have asked the Lord to help me remember them and the last few nights I have started to. I wouldn't post them because I know I can't remember them all and they don't seem (at this time) to have a real ending.... I maybe will in time or the Lord will just show me what they are all about.
Have a wonderful day!
