knitting shades of red yarn?

Post by Jodi on Thu May 06, 2010 8:51 pm

A friend and I were praying about my life’s purpose. While praying, he saw a vision of a ball of yarn with two needles sticking out. It was variegated pinks and reds.

Tim also heard that my life’s focus was to “Feed the hungry” and my life’s Scripture is the Corinthians love chapter.

The two needles make me think of knitting. Is there a connection between knitting yarn (shades of red) and feeding the hungry with agape love (Corinthians)?

Yes! Col 2:2 seems the most obvious: That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

pink would be love, red would be your life being sacrificed for others and the knitting needles are the tools for love to be knit together.
This is a powerful verse!
