should I forget about her

Post by gladys78 on Thu Apr 01, 2010 6:10 am

I am seeking settlement of a quarrel between
me and somebody that I like so much. But it
seems there is no more hope of coming together again. I sent E-mails
but she did not make any attempt of replying, I even made an attempt to talk to
her but she embarrassed me. Although is over 6 months now but I feel the
paineveryday. It seems there is no hope of friendship anymore. I
will be very very happy if you can help me pray and get a personal
prophecy from God, if there stillhope of friendship or not.
I will like to know what God really want me to do. Did she want the
quarrel between us to be settled? Or is her heart still very
hardened.
Looking forward to your replies.

I'm sorry to hear about your friendship. But I feel led to tell you this;

Some people need more time than others to get over a quarrel. I know I personally have been that person. Since this person has not responded to you.....maybe they need more time.?
If I was going through something like this I would give that person the space they need. Put the issue in Gods hands and trust that things WILL work out according to Gods plan. Sometimes we want something that is just not part of Gods plan for our lives. BUT, we have to give it time and seek God in prayer during these times of pain.

God Bless you.

I agree...Prayer works wonders. If she's wounded for whatever reason, then the fervent effectual prayers of the righteous avails much. You contacting could possibly keep the wounds open for her...just wait and pray.

Do not fight FOR victory, but fight FROM THE PLACE of victory. Jesus has ALREADY won the battle!

Sometimes, friendships die. I know what you're feeling. A 20 yr extremely close friendship died two years ago. I had the strong sense that I needed to move on from her rejection, caused by her husband's lies. It was causing me ongoing grief. I wrote to her, explaining I was burying our friendship, scattering the rose petals, remembering the good times and moving on. She never replied. This was a lady I had thought would be my friend forever; we'd jokingly booked homes next to each other in heaven.

If you know you have a clean heart towards the situation, if you've repented and apologised for any hurt you caused, if you've sought God...sometimes, you just need to move on. I realise now that I was entering a season of growth, and God was revealing to me who my true friends were.

I am not saying this is a word for you. I am simply sharing to encourage you.

Something the Lord has been showing me is that this world was created for relationship. God himself is in relationship with the 3. The commandments are about relationship. i.e. stealing is taking something from someone else. Lying affects a relationship...etc.
The body of Christ is in relationship too.
My suggestion is to let the Lord work it out. Trust him, and yes, pray. Sometimes relationships do come to an end but if it isn't the Lord who brings that about then you will always wonder.
Hugs to you, I think many of us relate and have our own stories.
