Vivid dream...

Post by karen on Sat Feb 20, 2010 5:53 am

Ruins, and writing on a wall.

The ruins were in a beautiful place, on a hill. Sea in the distance. Some greenery. Mediterranean.

I looked at the wall and there were men with me. Scholars, Archaeologists. They discussed the writing. I knew it was Hebrew text. So old! In the past some had been restored.

A young guy was angry and didn't trust the translations. He said, "I wish the Russians hadn't done this! If it had been restored like this piece for example we would have known it better. It would be obvious. Now we don't know what it is meant to say."

In the restoration, I could see the Russian 'accent' in the Hebrew language. The older restored part, I could see and understand was Jewish. I saw his (the young man's) prejudice against Russians and thought to myself, 'But there are Russian Jews'.

The restoration was like how a mural is restored when parts are missing with cement to show the gaps on the Jewish older part. The part that was Russian restored was ordered like little square red tiles. Small, red stacked ones, cemented together. They were made of Terracotta. Vivid red not orange.

For a second, for me, he bought the Word, the Bible into question. (the young man) I dismissed it immediately. I thought, 'God, through the Holy Spirit, wrote the Word THROUGH men. Surely He could do it again through the Restorers? No different really.' I had peace.

Then there were lots of men and women on this hill. I now looked on a painting. It was above a low wall in front of me. In mid air, upright, rectangular and huge. Larger than life. (same dream)

It was Jesus on the cross to other people. I knew and saw it was Jesus on a horse. (standing on its hind legs) It was beautiful, black and unseen. It was life size above His head, and yet He was on it.
As I looked at the painting which was alive. I understood the other side. The other side of the cross. What Jesus HAD NOT done for us. I 'saw it'.

I looked at His hair, I was drawn to it. I saw red in his hair like hi-lights, and as I stared deeper, the revelation started to appear from there and (this was 2 way in that I was looking to the crown of thorns/His thinking, mind and suffering and Him above on the triumphant horse - I don't know how else to describe this strong impression.) 'seeped' through the whole scene. The revelation? He had not come to curse us. To overload us with burdens.

This thing got so big in me. I was so excited. I got the others (men and women) to look and said, "Look above the depiction, tell me what you see. Now look again, tell me what you don't see!"

They didn't get it. Some saw the cross, some were just so stuck in 'flat' thinking.

I said, "Look, above Him, His hair. There is something there."

Then they saw things, like Angels. (big like the horse)

Then I despaired, because I thought, 'They don't get it, they don't see what I see.'

Then I realised. 'No..., they were seeing right!' Each saw their own specific deliverance, need, met in Him...personally.'
It was through the Crucifixion picture and deeper, beyond what they saw. Beyond what I saw. It was personal.

Then the dream switched and I was in a palace/hall/historical place, like the Vatican. I knew it was Italy. There were smiley old men. Some wore robes. They were believers. It was brightly coloured. Opulent. Historical.

I filled the halls with singing. They joined in, it was beautiful, harmonious.

I said, "I picked this song because it is international, I knew you would understand the words."

I think the song was Hosanah. Holy Holy Holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are filled with Your glory. The chorus Hosanah was sung , kind of like Hallelujah, over and over again. Perfectly. Across the language divide. They understood. I was excited.

I think I'd gone there to tell them about the revelation of the painting.

The dream ended. I felt so good when I woke up.

Observations and impressions I have been reminded of since the dream that have bubbled up in my waking memory.
Old biblical language - Aramaic.
Russian Jews - Ashkenazy
Personal and unique to each individual, yet the same
I went to the vatican over 20 years ago (unsaved) I hated it.
Since being saved I have met Charismatic Catholics who love Jesus
Hosanah in Hebrew means watch and pray

I was given a scripture a year ago...'Plan to visit Rome' I am reminded of it again.
I have learned of a conference in Rome and the speakers I respect and have studied faith with before. The subject of the conference? DREAMS...

Any ideas out there

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient— 19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, 21 but as it is written:

“ To whom He was not announced, they shall see;
And those who have not heard shall understand.”[h]
Plan to Visit Rome

22 For this reason I also have been much hindered from coming to you. 23 But now no longer having a place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you, 24 whenever I journey to Spain, I shall come to you.[i] For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while. 25 But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. 26 For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. 27 It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain. 29 But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel[j] of Christ.

What an amazing dream!

After reading the first few words, I knew in my spirit that the first part was in Israel, I was just there for a month!!

Israel (geographically) is God's chosen place, and Spiritually is the true home of "the church", the inheritance for His people, etc...The language you describe is God's chosen language, i.e. like what language did He write the tablet of the Law in when His finger wrote on the tablets).

Rome (geographically) is in the heart of Italy/Europe/"the West" which I think is symbolic of man's choice place, the seat of man's intellect/wisdom, etc...The location of the Vatican being in Rome is a choice made by men centuries ago. Language for the song being "International" again speaking to men in a way they understand.

So there's a contrast between God speaking to us and Salvation or relationship with Him, vs. Religion; men translating God's word for us.

Relationship with Jesus/Salvation vs Religion

Hearing what we want to hear, seeing what we want to see, vs. salvation being personal, God speaking to us specifically and directly, and showing us the things we need to see...

Just a few thoughts and initial impressions.

just more thoughts

Post by karen on Sat Feb 20, 2010 1:38 pm

Thanks Mariakitty

Relationship with Jesus/Salvation vs Religion

That is it in a nutshell! That impression was so strong.

Also, say I'd better say RED backwards...I never for a moment realised it was Israel! In the dream, I was so intent with my thoughts looking at the writing on the wall.

On reflection, I think the Holy Spirit makes all the difference, because in the dream I thought in 'my thinking' so to speak, there was only one way to see, because 'they' didn't see what I see.

I am a Word person first and foremost and trust the Holy Spirit, after all, He wrote the Bible. For me the Bible is infallible, but I am not.
I trust the Holy Spirit in prayer, interpretation, everything. He always backs Himself up in the word.
In the dream, I felt that the vatican place was 'high up' like in the sky.

I know that the letter kills, but that the Spirit gives life.

Also, I think of the scripture about the restorers of the breach, restorers of the streets to dwell in.

Hi Karen!

I'm glad that those impressions rang true in your spirit.

I think it's one of those multi-faceted dreams and has a broader message and scope than what I covered.

We are interdependent as the body of believers; I'll get a part of it, you'll get a part of it and someone else gets a part of it and we all share together to get a more complete picture.

God is so awesome in the many ways that he speaks to us!! What a joy to be part of His kingdom family!!

God Bless!!

Coincidence or God incidence? Big smile...

Post by karen on Sun Feb 21, 2010 5:37 am

I just want to encourage you both because of your spot on responses. I had that dream on 9th Feb. Yes, I am sure there is even more to unfold.

Earlier this week I was led to the local library and found myself picking up a few books. One is titled, 'Listening to God'. Last night I decided I would finish the last chapters. When I got to page 160, the author is describing how she went on a 'retreat' in 1978.

She says in her book;

'There I hid occasionally for 3 or 4 daysand my prayer journal reminds me how rich and healing, how challenging and life-transforming these days have been.
The cross which hangs from the ceiling of this chapel is unique. On one side the artist has painted a picture of the crucified Christ. On the other he has painted a portrayal of the resurrected Lord.

I love to kneel at the foot of that cross and savour the mysteries of our salvation.

Usually, my concentration focuses on Christ's suffering and sacrifice.
One morning, after Communion, as I stayed in the chapel to pray, though, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the living Lord.
What I 'heard' in the silence was not new factually. It was new experiencially. I revelled in the revelation, took my prayer journal to the bottom of the garden, sat on a log under the pine trees and tried to capture the wonder:

Lord, thank you. I feel as though I 've taken one delicious bite, the first of many, from an exotic fruit. I know that You are alive. It's as though I've never heard that message before. It is exhilarating; wonderful...You are alive. You are life. Your are my life...
Lord, I began to realise that for forty years, and particularly for the past four or so, I've contemplated Gethsemane and Calvary and Easter Saturday but I've never, in fact, identified with Easter Day. But that gap between Calvary and Pentecost leaves an inexplicable void. thank you that you've filled in the gap - placed in my hands the missing piece of the jig-saw. It's exciting...Oh! How much joy has yet to be entered into.'

Later on in her book, she talks about how she started up a group that 'listened to God' and experimented with different ways of listening. It made their ability to minister to one another blossom. Just like this dream thread we are following really.

Also for me the image of what she saw, the duality of what she describes of what the artist did with that cross. I dreamed the same thing.

Whew, isn't God good! This morning as I awoke, I listened as I try to before I get up. I repeated what I heard. "I am the Resurrection and the life".
I thought/meditated on that for a while and realise that I have both Martha and Maryam qualities. So much more to discover. Through one dream! lol!

I think my horse side of the picture is the triumphant side of the Resurrection. I think that the crown of thorns I focussed on to get there was connected with thinking/suffering etc.
Salvation, uniqueness etc its all in there. Even the ALIVE part of the painting. She saw what she saw. I saw what I saw in my dream. We all see our personal, unique salvation through Him, yet it is one faith, one baptism, one Lord. Whooh!

Taken from yesterday's news release in Israel

Post by karen on Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:58 am

Part of the manifestation of this dream? or not? (there is so much more happening at present and I will update when I can. Just diarising it all at present because so much is happening!) From one dream!

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1151695.html

I hope I haven't blown the rules of the site. This is a newspaper - in Hebrew it means...'The Land'

I am not recommending the site, just think of the dream, its elements/symbols and the ruins and the discovery in the press, that AUTHENTICATES the Bible...

Nope you didn't break the rules at all. Thanks for posting the link.

IMHO, this is the entire manifestation of the first part of your dream, the part to do with the wall. It is IDENTICALLY parallel to the news story.

Pretty cool!

this site and the people here

Post by karen on Thu Feb 25, 2010 2:49 pm

Thanks Mia,

You have all been so encouraging and such a blessing on this site! The second part of the dream is unfolding already, but I will keep it in my heart (and diary) like Mary did... as it is still unfolding.

One thing I can share...I was led to a song today...as I was in the library using the internet, the tears that rolled down my face! I wanted to roll on the floor and sob, beat my fists on the floor at such overwhelming love. I had to stop my stomach from convulsing. It was so difficult to do in such a public place. It was so hard to breathe, because of what is happening. Such love of my Father, Jeshua and the Holy Ghost! Such intimacy.

In this song, still I weep. He is showing me the other side. Not only am I His covenant friend through the blood and body of Jesus. His longing. He sang it, get this...TO ME...in this song! We Believers, traditionally sing this song to Him, from our perspective. We forget how the Father's love sings and rejoices over us.
I invite you as you listen and read the words, to...change it, experience it's lyrics from His perspective. He even got me to put/imagine my name in it. You're all I need Karen. (true of every believer who wants to receive His love -our living reality) He yearns for us. ALL His kids.

We always want to know that He is near. But with our obedience and surrender, with our hearts we draw near. Deep truly calls to deep at the noise of Your waterfalls. We are so uniquely special to God! I realise now, about my King? His desire is FOR me... Oh wow! Now the covenant promises come alive.

The value of each individual child of God. How precious!

He even speaks of desire. (the King from the other dream - cool link!) Oh Mia, how gr8! This site is helping/revolutionizing my walk with my Saviour!

K

P.S. Ooops...the song... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLNL49TFC_8&feature=fvw

K,

I find oftentimes in my dreams that two will be wound together when they manifest at the same time.

For instance.... the wall manifestation has happened and the second part is also happening. They may not have anything do with each other, other than the time that come to pass is the common denomenator.
