for this confirmation.
they his parents chose not to call us when the baby was born. His dad said he doesnt want to change how he treats his son who asked him to have a more positive relationship. My husband fasted yesterday and is a much nicer person than he was when he was being yelled at by his dad.
He now sees his dad as a manipulative man.
We are supposed to visit a relative to celebrate Christmas and his parents have left gifts or money for us. My husband has told me we are not to accept it as it is a manipulatve act not to try to put the relationship right I am in agreeement with him about it.

Well, I am not trying to get down to the marrow of the problem between father and son. It won't separate the confusion. BUT I do know that you asked the Lord for a financial blessing and your father-in-law wants to bless you with money. The Lord uses people to bless people. Well, again, I don't know your situation, but when there is a power struggle between men, no one wins, because only God truly has all power. God is able to make more grace abound, and He creates opportunities for us. Put it this way. He can tell us to cast our net for fish, when we usually do it another way, and we can refuse, or cast the net like He said, pull it up, and see how many fish are in there. Again, when God has people give to us, it is not always going to be the happy, wholesome christian who we all love and adore. It can be someone who has offended us, and who we think are against us. But if you believe that God has the power to soften a man's heart and turn it where He wants to turn it, then go back and ask the Lord if this money is meant to be taken. Regardless if you think this is manipulation. You did pray for a financial blessing.

This friend insists it is the Holy Spirit telling him we are wrong regarding my husbands family.
Not sending them a card and avoiding them. I want my husband to be ok.
His dad is abusive. His mom never called when I had a baby. I think they dont know what love is and are unkind.
Id like to allow time and space here before dealing with them again.
I want to be right with God in this.

Well, the beauty in this all is I read your testimony on what God has done for you and your husband...a new credit card...some money and a great tax return! You don't need what they were offering anyway. God is so good!!
