Repent and move on girly!!!! Repent to the Lord and repent to the person.

Now, I'm not trying to give you an out or an excuse to why you responded the way that you did, but I must say this...you just had a baby and your hormones are wacko right now. God will meet you right where you need help. I'm learning to be quiet, even when I want to say something. It's hard, but it is helping me...you may want to work on just NOT saying anything until you can respond better.

Ooh, I can testify to this, both the good outcomes and the bad. I went through a season when I was dealing with a couple of people who were antagonizing me and while in the flesh I would've been justified in responding I knew it was a test and as hard as it was (my tongue still has scars from biting it), I swore God was going to get the glory. There were times I had to put on the covering of Jesus because I wasn't feeling like responding in a Godly way, I did what I knew was right although every cell in my being wanted to say/do something different. I'm SOOOO glad that I did that...in Romans 12, the Lord tells us that vengeance is His and I saw it manifest in dealing with this couple, too much to go into but let me just say that there's no better one than God to correct people and apply vengeance when it's appropriate.... Amen

On the flip side, I can't count the number of times I let something come out of my mouth that really shouldn't have been said. In my own case, I fiound that I was making comments on situations that appear one way but turned out to be quite different - I misread situations, motives and the hearts of others. I agree with Cholette that it isn't easy, it's something that I still struggle with but I can say this...if there is a situation where there was something that really needed to be said but I didn't say it, God always lets me know that I was to speak AND He provides the opportunity for those words to be spoken AND He gives me the words. Praise God! I prefer this approach...this is part of the fruit of patience......

jbs, I wll definitely keep you in prayer about this...continue to seek the Lord's assistance, He will give you a spirit of self-control and a spirit of discernment so that you are better able to respond better when needed...

So been there and totally get it. Some days I would like to arrest my mouth for a misdemeanor. That is like what I need some days. I am like Lord I want to shut my mouth but I just keep on doing it. So I understand completely. I agree with everyone above. He is so sweet to forgive and his grace is sufficient till we get there. Can I get an to that?

Hang in girl, the Lord has you! Just keep trying.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

"Some days I would like to arrest my mouth for a misdemeanor." ....classic Connie, I'm rolling!

JBS.....I was a complete hormonal wreck after I had my baby. It took at least a month to stop crying. I couldn't watch anything bad on tv, I couldn't listen to bad stories (of like people getting hurt). I was sleep deprived. Every day at dusk I bawled my eyes out .....like clockwork for an entire month. I've heard it's called the baby blues. It might've been a little bit of post partim depression too.

Lurdys gave the right instructions there...you'll feel a lot better if you do that...for sure. God bless you new mom.
