Adopting a baby

Post by Jen on Fri Sep 19, 2008 8:11 am

ok.. I had a dream that my husband and I were at a couples house and the couple had a baby they wanted to adopt out. My husband and I seemed interested in this baby. The couple left us alone to spend time with the baby and we both fell asleep. In the dream the couple looked/ checked in on us while we were all asleep (they seemed fine with us sleeping and left again) Then when we awoke I sat down and had a serious talk with the woman. I told her that if she felt she could not keep the baby then we would certainly take it, but that we would much rather see her keep it. She said she would let us know her decision Dec 1st.

My husband and I are not looking to adopt. We have two beautiful kids and he has already had a vasectomy. I wonder if this dream means new beginnings of some kind? The date really interests me too. Let me know if you have any ideas....

Thanks so much ,
Jen flower

Is there a project of some sort you and your husband are looking to take on?

Somewhat different but still in a way similar outlook - is it possible that you have been aware of a gifting or area of responsibility in your life that you really haven't taken on yet (sleeping through) but now are required to decide what you want to do with it? In the dream, why would you have preferred the other couple to keep the baby?

Hmmm still seeking the answer to this one.

RE: Glad, in the dream I preferred that the couple keep the baby because they were the biological birth parents. I could not imagine having to give up a child. I really love my kiddos!!! flower

I believe the dream means that you will be presented with a new idea or beginning (baby) that you will be asked to nurture (adopt) or care for as if it was your own. The couple (angels) feel that you are trust worthy, that is why they don't mind the fact that you are thinking (sleeping) the endevour over. The new idea or beginning is very valuable, that is why you need to have a serious talk with the woman (angel) to see if this is something that they really want to give away. The final decision will be made on December 1st. Please look for something to happen specifically on that date.

I would be surprised if it did happen on December 1st. Dates are never accurate for me. How old was the baby?

Quick question: so when you dream of months or dates is that symbolic for feelings or characteristics surrounding that month or date instead of the actual date? (ex: lets say in my dream I say, I've been committed to this since October. I haven't really been committed since October but its symbolic of my commitment that seems to be "growing dead" or "falling" in some way?) makes sense?
thanks

Desiree,

I once dreamed VERY accurately of a date because when I went to sleep I had asked God for a date. Any other time that a date has just appeared randomly in my dreams it has not been accurate symbolically, literally, period.

Huggin' ya,

Jen,

Like Butterfly said, if it's not happening now, it will be. You will be helping or doing something that is supposed to be temporary, maybe even a job, but it turns out there is an opportunity for it to become permanent.

Love,
Mia
