Butterfly~ Hence, lit., the word often expresses this fruit in several meanings such as; sense of taste, smell, etc,. is found in James 3:11, 14. In v. 11 it has its natural sense, with reference to water; in v. 14 it is used metaphorically of Jeslousy. And then again we will find it also signifies, "to be bitter" Col. 3:19, or embitter, irritate, or to make bitter. You will also find that this fruit is mentioned of the heart ones condition of producing "bitter fruit" meaning "hatred'' or gall of bitterness Rom. 3:14. or of evil speaking which is found Eph 4:31 and Heb. 12:15....Alas we will find where Peter's grief was used as "bitterly weeping" for his denial of Christ, Matt. 26:75; Luke 22:62. It can also be used as a "bitter herb" which is used in Ecod. 12:8; Num. 9:11. If you need any help with these scriptures I will be gald to to assist you.
