Registering my new car
Hello, I am having some reservations about registering my new car in both my and my husbands names.
Most of the money came from my parents to buy it in addition to my student loan money. If anyone has any wisdome from God here please share. I want to do the right thing. I am having some trust issues with my husband.Thanks.

The reservation that you are experiencing IS wisdom. I love the scripture that I've used here a couple of times on this site.
In other words, the peace or lack thereof, is your guide. It will lead you to make the right decision. If there is no peace about putting his name on the car than don't do it. There's nothing that says that if you don't, you are disrespecting him. If you don't bring it up (the registration process) then he won't even pay attention if you put him on there or not.
Just my opinion...
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Colossians 3:15

Well, unfortunatley he came in from work and asked me right away whose names are on the car? The person selling it called him and wanted to know to make out the bill of sale. I dont want to cause a problem with him.
We are married and everything is joint property -as far as I know. I have to register it at the DMV Wednesday. He wont be there with me so I think I can just put it in my name or both names.
I want to try to make the marriage better if possible we will have 2 kids soon.
I just dont want to jeopardize loosing the only property I have either. The trust issue is he has been verbally abusive to me.
He tried to buy a house last Winter and put it in his name-only.
I was very sick with fibromyalgia.Thought I was dying in fact.He didnt want me to go to any church or have any fellowship with Christians. I was very very sad. But kept asking God to heal me and help me and He has!

Re: Registering my new car
The seller confirmed she called him and asked about what names to put on the car so it didnt originate with him.
I am deeply conflicted over this.
I feel as though I am being tested by God with my husband and I want to pass this test.
in my self- I do not want to put the vehicle in both names.
Please pray I know and do the right thing -whatever God wills.

If he wasn't verbally abusive to you BlueSkies I would agree with what Hillobeans said, but being verbally abusive is no different than him being physically abusive...the ONLY difference is, he's hitting you inwardly and not outwardly...none of it is of God and in my opinion you don't have a marriage. You are living with a man who doesn't know who HE is and does not respect you. I know it's "just a car" however you have to think of your well being as well as your children. I go back to what I originally said...if you don't have peace, then I wouldn't do it. I don't think your lack of peace is about your unforgivness...I think its because you KNOW he can't be trusted.
All in all, it's about what God tells you to do. Only you and God know everything that is going on in that house and God will give you the guidance you need to do the right thing based on your family. You asked for Wisdom and in my heart I believe you have received it however, it's still up to you.
Ciao!

I have a question...what do your parents have to say about the registering of your car since they blessed you with most of the money?? Parents can be a good source of wisdom.

Re: Registering my new car
It is something my mom said in passing.I have told them nothing I dont want to worry them and they are old.
I decided to put the car in my name.
This is why he was late getting home.
I went to get lunch before we took our daughter to a special place we had planned and I came home to find her-outside our apartment in the parking lot. Dad was inside dressing up.He yelled at me for being late called me a "crazy person" and refused to go. He said nothing to apologize for her being outside alone. I have no idea how long she was outside I was gone for 1/2 hour but his meanness to me and refusal to accept responsibility for doing something wrong-not watching her was what made me decide.

Yup!
Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow.
I am trying to save the marriage, he is going to a business thing all day so I should be able to go to the DMV alone. I don want to have a confrontation with him about this! His name may be added on later if things change.
