Gimme That Tooth!

Post by lola21st on Tue Sep 01, 2009 10:30 am

A friend of mine had the following dream and I found the tooth imagery interesting so thought I would post it for your interpretations/thoughts:

He dreamt that he saw his ex-wife. He reached into her mouth and pulled out her front tooth. She started chasing him and kept shouting "I need it back, it makes me look good!" He kept running knowing that she was still chasing him to get the tooth back. At first he couldn't remember where his car was so that he could get away but then when he did remember, he decided to keep running and have her chase him. He wasn't out of breath, but he wanted to wear her out until she got too tired to keep chasing him. His car was nearby but he wanted to be sure she'd be too winded to keep running so that he'd have enough time to get into his car and drive away and not worry that she'd catch up and get into his car too. End of dream.

thanks D for your thoughts, but that's not really the case in this situation....it wasn't a playful encounter (sorry if I wrote it that way)...he doesn't really want to be pursued, he needs to keep her running only so that when he makes his exit, she doesn't have the capacity to follow...

Any other interpretations or thoughts?

Not that he wants the ex to pursue him BUT he does KNOW she's pursuing him and somewhat running with that. From how you wrote it, it seems like he enjoyed the attention just teensy wee bit! lol! As you said, that's not the case!

hi there, just a few thoughts, the man through his actions is trying to neutralize the women, which results in confusion in the situation as he cannot find his car/life again, then takes up the job of harassing the lady, or going around in circles....blessings martin

ok, Dreamz, here is the background and interpretation...I posted the dream because this is the first time I'd ever seen someone take a tooth out of someone's mouth, we've been seeing dreams on the site that deal more with teeth falling out or being broken/rotten...

In this case, my friend is very recently divorced. His ex-wife lied to him throughout their brief marriage and continued to tell horrible lies about him both to individuals and institutions as they were going through divorce proceedings. These lies/deceptions "made her look good". He was able to clear his name and in doing so she's now left in a bad light because her bad mouthing has been exposed and the negative impact they had lifted. This is what pulling her tooth out represents. Him running around with her chasing him symbolizes his efforts to get her out of his life so that he can move on (get in his car without her)...

WAS a sad situation...you live, you learn, and you move on thanking the Lord for releasing you from a bad situation and saving your life....
