chasing a thief

Post by Change on Wed Aug 05, 2009 4:31 pm

i was at my house with a particular girl.

she was in the kitchen.

althought it was my house, it felt like it was hers.

i was standing outside in the hall, shy.

my sister was in the kitchen showing her one of our cats.

my sister left and then i decided to go in.

i saw that her appearance was slightly different than what i remember in real life.

we decided to make some sandwiches.

we sat at the kitchen table to eat.

but as we did, i heard someone trying to get in the house via the front door.

i immediately knew it was a threatening intruder.

i ran out of the kitchen and chased the thief around the front yard.

however, he evaded me and ran back up the front porch and into the house.

the dream ended with me being worried what would happen to her.

Who is this particular girl? Are you in relationship with her in real life?

A house is symbolic of : Your life
A hallway: Transition

Since your sister in the dream doesn't look like your real sister in real life, she could be symbolic of: The Church

Table: Fellowship
Eating Sandwhich: Partaking of spiritual food

Intruder: The Devil. He has come to kill, steal and destroy.

You are trying to defeat the works of the Devil, but he enters into your home (life) again.

What is your relationship with Christ at the time? Are you attending a Church? Are you in fellowship with other Christians?

Are you facing difficulties in your life, currently. Do you feel defeated?

You are concerned and worried about what is going on in your life.
Is this correct?

Does any of this minister to you in any way?

hello,

90 % of your interpretation is spot on, like with how i'm feeling spiritually and how tumultous my life has been.

but i wanted to address your comment about my sister "not looking the same." no, she did look the same and she was showing this girl one of our cats.

this girl is someone who i used to know in real life...she was a friend of my ex girlfriend.

in this dream, the setting was my house but in the dream, it felt like HER house.

i do want prayer over this dream.

i know god wants me to focus on Him first and foremost, but if He feels i'm at a place where i can know the TRUE meaning of this dream, bring it on.

hi Change, the cat could refer to a hinderance to improve or come closer to the Lord, i would allow the Lord to show you any obsticles to coming to Him. The fact that the intruder comes as soon as you make food, its a direct attack on receiving the Word/Jesus in your life...a demonic spirit coming against the word of God in you...Eph 6, could be a good place to start, pray over this and see what witnesses with you...Blessings Martin

just a few throughts, the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy, he will try and take the gift/revelation in you in whatever way he can, legal ground, temptation etc...the sister showing you a cat? doesnot sound positive, it could be someone close who is distracting you from receiving the word, remember to take this to the Lord in prayer ...blessings martin
