Opal- dream from 2005.

Post by HeartforHim on Sat Jul 18, 2009 7:07 am

This is a dream about a girl called Opal, a dream I had back in 2005.

In this dream, I was at Opal's house, along with several other couples.
There was a separation of those couples - the men went with Opal's
husband and the women went into another room with Opal.

To my left was a wall. There were pictures hung, all revolving around
Opals' life. Pictures from her childhood, of her many great and
outstanding accomplishments; all were stored in custom made, wooden
frames. These frames were unlike any on the market. "A friend made
those for me" she said as we followed her down the hall. I couldn't
help but notice how dark some of the pictures were, and how some frames
were different in the earlier scenes of her life. When asked if the
maker was the same, she commented, "The pictures reflect a different
time in my life. But let's not talk about then. Come, follow me. I have
something you must see."

Taking two steps, I noticed in the right corner of my eye, I see the
men standing by her husband. My husband was there, along with the other
husbands, and they were reading something over his shoulder. It was an
old, well read, leather bound, gold trimmed book. There were markings
of various pages. Some were vibrant green, crimson, others were purple,
royal blue, one black, and beside that one, a white page; a brown one,
a yellow one and as they stuck out from the pages they marked, they
appeared to blow gently in a breeze. This book was a treasure,
something they all adored. I heard Opal's husband say, "Hosea." At
first I thought he had called to someone with him, but then he turned
and pointed to a verse. I knew then, what I heard was a book with this
book and as hard as I tried to listen, he looked at me, smiled, then
pointed toward a room.

I heard Opal call to me and say, "Come look and see. Isn't this dress
something? It was handmade just for me. Look very closely to the
details of this dress." I then stepped toward the door. All the other
women were crowding about her to see this dress. As I began to walk
closer toward her, I was taken back at what I saw.

There, as I entered the doorway, from the hall, was her room. It held
every treasure she adored. Opal stood to the left side in the room, in
front of an old, timeless looking mirror. The inlay was a strong
looking, shiny piece of wood, much like the frames in the hallway. The
stand on which the mirror rested, was the same wood, shiny and strong
in appearance. It was so shiny it looked as though it were wet with
oil, but yet if you touched it, it would be dry.

The flooring of the room was a wide, dark oak panel. Atop it lay an
oval rug. The colors were all meshed together, forming a beautiful
bouquet of flowers. On the right hand side of the room, there stood a
dresser. From this dresser came a sweet fragrance of juniper, then
gardenias, then jasmine, then honeysuckle. The fragrances were all in
one, yet they were each one separate. Atop the dresser was a wooden box
with carvings and an inlay of red velvet type material. From this box
were all types of jewels; pearl strands, long strands of pearls; golden
necklaces, purple stones, green stones red, blue stones; there were
silver chains with various stones attached to them.

There was a window that let in the light. It was covered by an off
white, lacy, very detailed curtain. It shimmered in this light. I then
noticed a split in the material - a separation of this curtain down the
middle. The curtain seemed to sway gently in a breeze, yet the window
was not opened. A shadow of the frame stood out and as I gazed at the
window, I saw a cross- then the shadow of the cross grew larger and
stretched out onto the floor. It was as if the shadow of the cross
touched everyone, every treasure in the room.

I saw an old wooden rocker. It was well aged in appearance. "Custom
made for me" Opal said with a smile. Over it was an expensive throw,
"for those time of comfort, peace and rest I need." It was all there,
in the sunlight, touched by that shadow of the cross. I saw Opal
sitting there, in her garment of silky white in prayer; rocking to a
beat of a song - a specifically orchestrated rhythm made just for her.
The throw was wrapped about her shoulders - "It's my covering of
comfort he gave for me. I sit and rock and wait for him."

Then I looked back to the left side of the room at a wall behind the
mirror. The wall was papered in a green background contrasted with the
most beautiful green lush leaves. When they were put together with all
the other items in the room, there seemed to be a pattern woven there,
all for Opal.

Opal was once again, standing in front of the mirror. "See, look at
this dress. He made it just for me!" She was so happy and had such a
look of contentment as she spoke of him.
Your husband, I thought and as if she could hear me, she answered me
and said, "No, silly. 'He' made it for me. Look at this dress!" As I
came closer to Opal, I noticed the bright, crisp, whiteness of the
material. She kept rubbing her arms, smiling with excitement; then I
stepped even closer to her. Upon inspection of this dress, I began to
notice the weave of the dress. It was finely woven, every stitch was
handmade. Then it was as if I saw each square, strongly laid stitch of
the pattern in the garment. Even the feel of the stitches in the dress
were as if they themselves told a story of how the maker felt toward
the owner.

I said to Opal, "It is so nice, Opal, and it breathes so well. The details. I have never seen anything ever like this before."
I then noticed the lace that was scalloped around the outside of the
hem. It was perfectly tailored for Opal. "Feel this. It is against my
skin. It feels so like it is a part of me. Hand me my veil." Then I
realized it was a wedding gown.
As I handed her the veil, I heard laughter in the house. I began to
smell the cake; the icing smelt so good! The the warm smell of the
other foods, having been cooked for a long time in preparation. I could
smell the fresh fruits. I heard the table being set - silverware being
placed on the large banquet table; dishes being placed down and the
sound of fine wind goblets ringing as they tapped the dishes.
"Hurry!" Opal called out. "It's almost time! Get my makeup." I replied,
"OK" and went down the hall, into a small closet like door. There was a
glass top, golden outlay table with the most vibrant colors of makeup I
ever saw. The makeup was on a palate, on that an artist would use.
Then Opal said to me, "Help yourself. I'm just about ready." This won't
look right on me, I thought. I saw a green base, so I placed a small
bit on the tip of my finger and began to apply it to my face. Then
suddenly, I felt someone take the palate from me and turn me away from
the mirror. I heard the wish of brushes, felt the fine like hair of
those brushes against my face, cheeks an lips. I felt my hair being
brushed and almost as if the stylist was counting the strands of my
hairs as he worked.

"It's time!" I heard Opal call out. "Let's go!"

I found my place in line, as if there were a hand guiding me to that
spot. It was if I were in this precession. I then looked at y hands,
where in them was this beautiful bouquet of flowers; jasmine, juniper,
honeysuckles, roses, with fill-ins of baby's breath and greens. On my
arms, there was a white woven material, not quite like Opals, somehow
different. In the precession line there were brides, all lined up. We
were all one, yet separate. I saw Opal and she looked at me and smiled,
"See. Oh...it's time!"
There were figures of people standing by the isle, clapping, cheering, smiling, gazing. All were part of this ceremony.
It was a time of celebration. I had never felt so loved as I looked down and saw my bridegroom was waiting for me.

Hi Heart

Do you have this dream over and over again, or was it a one time thing in 2005?

Re: Opal- dream from 2005.

Wow, this is one of the most beautiful dreams I've read so far.

It seems like you're in a heavenly mansion. That God opened Heaven for you in your dreamworld to show you how wonderful His kingdom is. The only imperfection in the house was the rip in the curtain with the cross peering through it. I think that tear was there because Jesus' body needed to be torn in order for us to have a mansion in Heaven. That imperfection was the most perfect thing that could have ever happened to us.

I copied and pasted a clip describing what the book of Hosea was written about:

Author:
Hosea 1:1
identifies the author of the book as the Prophet Hosea. It is Hosea’s
personal account of his prophetic messages to the children of God and
to the world. Hosea is the only prophet of Israel who left any written
prophecies which were recorded during the later years of his life.

Date of Writing:
Hosea, the son of Beeri, prophesied for quite some time, from 785 to
725 B.C. The Book of Hosea was likely written between 755 and 725 B.C.

Purpose of Writing:
Hosea wrote this book to remind the Israelites—and us—that ours is a
loving God whose loyalty to His covenant people is unwavering. In spite
of Israel’s continual turning to false gods, God’s steadfast love is
portrayed in the long-suffering husband of the unfaithful wife. Hosea’s
message is also one of warning to those who would turn their backs on
God’s love. Through the symbolic presentation of the marriage of Hosea
and Gomer, God’s love for the idolatrous nation of Israel is displayed
in a rich metaphor in the themes of sin, judgment, and forgiving love.
Gomer means
"complete" in Hebrew.

Have you gone through something in 2005 that you're going through now....maybe with your marriage? This is a word of love from God, that He has loved you with an everlasting love. Agape. He bore it on the cross so that you could have that beautiful mansion in Heaven. No matter what you do, He will accept you and love you with Agape. He doesn't remember your sins, He's forgiven them and forgotten them as far as the east is from the west. His love in 2005 is the same love He has for you today in 2009. Remember who you are in Christ....a NEW creature, a child of The King, a child of the Most High God. You are not a weak worm of the dust. You are the head and not the tail. Christ died for you because He has an undying love for you. Accept His gifts. Accept His love and forgiveness. God bless you.

Haven't gone through anything in my marriage...we are strong and healthy. Thank God!
I just was clearing out some old notes and found this dream. I thought I had lost it or had given it to someone a couple of years ago and was so thankful to find it. There have been many times in my quiet time with Papa that I have seen parts of this dream. Even now as I write this, the view of Opal's room is so real in my mind.
A few weeks ago, a dear friend, age 87, reached his heavenly home. Your quote that God has loved us with an everlasting love is something he would repeat when he had a Word from Papa's heart. Made me smile and laugh.
As far as Hosea, I so enjoy this book! God simply LOVES! HE IS GOOD! HE IS GOOD! HE IS GOOD! HE IS GOD! Amazing LOVE!
I think as the bride, we all need to understand the excitement that must be arousing in the Heavenly Kingdom. We are the BRIDE of CHRIST! Heaven is preparing the table and getting our place set. When we arrive, it will be far better than any finale we have ever experienced.
My question for all who read this: If you were to die tonight, where would you spend eternity? I will spend it in Heaven. Look for me by the Crystal Sea - there is going to be such a party there with Jesus! YEAH!
Will you be there?

Much love,
Alisa

Hi Alisa :) No ma'am, I don't think we've met. My daughter's birthday is in October and her birthstone is the Opal. I was just thinking that Opal is really you in this dream if your birthday was in October. :) I'm so glad you're not having marital problems.

I had never read Hosea, but I think I will. It sounds like he went through a lot. I've had marital problems on the mind lately (with my husband), so that may have seeped through when I posted that reply. God bless you. That was such a rad dream, I would love to see an open Heaven someday like that....while I'm still on earth. Gives me something to look forward to. Take care, you're awesome!

HeartforHim, what I get out of this dream is an intimate time with the Lord Jesus. I feel like He was imparting some things to you spiritually in this dream about His goodness and loving kindess and tenderness toward you. I feel that He was the bridegroom in the dream, and I feel that Opal is YOU! I think it also has to do with the "Bride of Christ". The whole thing to me seems to be a message of love and encouragement from the Lord Jesus to you showing you how much you mean to Him, how meticulously He has planned the details of your life, how much He wants to bless you, and how much He cherishes you. This is a "feel good" dream that you will likely always remember, because the very presence of God is laced throughout the entire dream. I was blessed just reading it. I'll bet you woke up from this one feeling like a million bucks!

Blessings,

Sandra
