My mother had a terrible thing happen to her at her old job. Her two bosses were HORRIBLE to her...the entire time she worked there it was very tramatic for her. Its been way over a year since she left that job and she's still reliving exactly what happened when she left at night in her dreams. I think sometimes we re-dream traumatic events. Im not sure why...just pray to be delivered.

OR we could look at this symbolicly. Is there anything in your life you love that you're having to give up?

I understand Dreamster how hard it is to lose a pet. From since I was a child I have had dogs as pets and each dog I had that died I grieved over it, there was this one dog especially who was my absolute favourite and I still think of him although he died a few years ago. Dogs and cats are truly man's best friend. They always love you and are always glad to see you. Allow yourself some time to grief, cry about it, cherish the memories you had of that cat, perhaps you can talk about it with someone (that can help you feel better) and as Daphanie stated also ask God to help you to get over the grief (although crying can be healthy, too much crying can become unhealthy).

It takes time to grieve a loss. Just when you think you're come to terms with it, something happens that makes the loss seem like it was just yesterday. I agree with Daph and Butterfly, allow yourself time to grieve it and continue to pray for healing from the loss. Talking with someone about it can help as well (informally or formally). I understand that this may not be helpful when you're in the middle of grieving but know that we care and support you! huggins

Dreamster,
I'm sorry about your loss. I prayed for God to give you a peace about it and that He'd comfort you. In your dreams I noticed that you keep having to put the cat down. Did you have to do this IRL? If so, I'm sure you decided to do this for his/her benefit - to spare pain. If you're feeling guilty, please realize that you opted to relieve your friend's pain. IRL (many years ago) my grandpa was dying and was in pain. The nurse asked us if we wanted him to be given morphine, knowing that it would relieve the pain but that it would shorten his life. We let him have the morphine because he was dying with or without it and at least this way he would not be in pain. It was hard on the aunt who gave the answer to the nurse because she felt guilty at first until we talked about it.

Sometimes a new pet can give you a new relationship to cherish - not to forget your cat, but to allow yourself to love on & be loved by a new cat while always remembering your best friend. I also know that sometimes people don't want to get attached to a new pet, so it's just something to consider.

Hey there my friend,

I agree with the new pet thing. It will help alot. Sometimes love means letting go and sparing pain.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

It sounds like now isn't the time for a new cat. Maybe later. But the last look in your friend's eyes was probably trust and you did live up to that trust by helping relieve the pain. Dear God please impart peace for Dreamster. I pray in Jesus' holy and loved name, amen.

Hey I know this is an after thought having written your dream out a while ago, however, wanted to encourage you, that I have had a cat who was very dear to me and I had to have him put down a few years ago, had him cremated and he sits up on my puter desk....in a box crying

He was the first good friend that was very dear and close to me and alot happened, anyhow I would dream of him from time to time, still think of him especially now that I look back and compare him to all other relationships I have had with humans.....lol his has been the best friendship I have had, not to say my other friendships have been bad, but he was my pal......

Don't know much to say as I'm going through alot but wanted to say, be encouraged, dreaming of a loved one is sometimes you working out your emotions about missing them very much................

Hope this helps..

C
