Missing Tooth and Canine Molars

Post by Jadams on Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:16 pm

I had a dream last night about me talking to this guy. While I was talking, one of my teeth fell out and began to crumble in my mouth. In the dream I remember turning my head away from the guy and spitting out the fragments of the tooth in my hand and quickly excused myself to run inside this building to a bathroom to look in a mirror to see if it would be noticeable if I had a missing tooth. It was weird because the tooth next to the two top front teeth was the one that was missing, but when I looked in the mirror it wasn't noticeable, but when I looked in the back of my mouth, my back molars were like canine molars, sort of hooked.

I get a feeling this is bad news. Does anyone have any insight on this? PLEASE HELP ME!!! :blushing:

Thanks

Jimmy (I'm a girl :manicure:  )

This might be just my own thinking, not necessarily a revelation:

Do you tend to not see yourself realistically (mirror didn't show the missing tooth) when worried about how this guy sees you?

Teeth can sometimes mean wisdom according to books I've read, but that doesn't mean teeth means wisdom here. Do you feel as though your wisdom isn't the best when you're in his presence - maybe due to nervousness about not wanting to "look bad" in front of him?

If this is off base, please disregard. - Jodi

I am not sure what it means but when I dream about missing my teeth or my teeth falling out it has happened around times when I felt like I couldn't shut up. It was like I was a bystander to all this stuff that just came pouring out of my mouth, which left me horrified and I felt powerless to stop it.

Do you have any problems with your mouth? Like talking too much or maybe saying things that might be hurtful? or maybe even not able to say what you should?

First of all, thank you so much Jodi and Mia for responding because I didn't think anyone would.

Both of you have hit on some good points. Jodi, I do NOT see myself realistically at times. I always think people see me a certain way and in reality, they tell me they don't. I didn't even take into consideration that the mirror part of the dream could mean anything...I was so consumed with what I saw in the mirror...which in reality is what I do.

Mia...as of late, I have been talking A LOT! I get "bent out of shape" over things that are wrong and I just run my mouth about it. I haven't realized that I ran my mouth too much until you mentioned that in your reply. My personality is pretty much "shoot from the hip" and can be pretty brash, but that's not where my heart is.

I have a lot to think about here. Thanks again! flower

Jadams,

I tend to be the same as what you described: Disturbingly straight forward... speak first, be mortified later. I have to pray constantly before going out that the Lord help me with the parts of me that are in need of help.

Praise God for enlightening us on what we need to be enlightened of and I further praise Him for doing what is impossible for me to do: Change.

Love,
Mia

PS We are glad to have you. =)

Jadams
I can attest to the "mouth thing" too--I'm working on learning "when to speak and when not to speak"! So you're not alone!

By the way, I REALLY like the avatar--like your focus is on God alone!

Thank you Desiree!

Yes, I'm focused on Christ and all that he sacrificed for me. That's why I have to get this mouth together. Lord help me!

i totally feel y'all on straightforwardness and sometimes speaking without thinking first.my prayer since the beginning of this year has been that God would change me so that my mouth does not end up hurting people.that i shouldnt offer opinion or ideas if i havent been asked and to stop trying to tell my friends what to do even if they are making a mistake with their lives;to just pray for them and offer help but only when asked.
am just amazed to hear that profound line from Mia;'you usually have most trouble with the area where God ends up using you.'its a new way of seeing it.am glad to know am not alone in this struggle.may God work on us so that we will not be found to be wanting vessels.. praying
