Can you help interpret a dream?

Post by debinthemarketplace on Mon Mar 02, 2009 10:15 pm

I had a dream that I was with a President of a country, and we were in a meeting with several other people and his baby daughter was there. I began to play with the little girl and look after her, as everyone else was neglecting her, and she really took to me as if I were her moher. One by one the meeting participants left and it was just me, the baby and the President. I handed her over to him, and she began to cry. He placed her on the floor, tried to calm her down but she wanted me, not him. I was torn about helping him but eventually left. The next thing I see is the President walking by in a very stately manner with 2 people behind him (as if he called for help). One was a man, and the other was a woman, who clearly couldn't conole the baby either, and she held the baby out in front of her, as if she was clearly uncomfortable and there was no mothering or closeness even attempted with the baby. I recall wondering if I should have just stayed and helped with his baby girl, or just let things progress as they did, seeing as I was not the mother of the child.

Can you help me interpret this?

Was there a thing in your life, job, ministry, etc., that you chose not to take on? One that perhaps might be suffering now because it's being done by someone without your love for it?

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I worked in a country outside of my home country for 2 years, for the President that was in the dream, and left much sooner than either of us wanted. I was working for a company that treated its people and ran its business EXTREMELY unprofessionally, and for years I tried to hide it to my clients becasue the work was so important and critical to the lives of so many. But I finally came to the point that it was intolerable and unhealthy. Because I was working in a very poor country, and lived a little better than most, 2 female employees I hired were very jealous of me (I had no idea) and before I resigned, these 2 girls (who were christians, one of whom's father is a pastor), really plotted against me and were more treacherous and deceitful than I could ever imagine anyone being. They now live in my old house with ALL my belonings, (I never got my clothes, furniture, personal belongings, etc. back from my company -- still trying), drive the new car I had, and one of them even has my old position. Its been devastating, but the government has rallied around me and keeps asking me to come back. My old company is trying very hard to ruin my reputation (and is going all out to do it) so I havent returned. But I love the country soo much, and I love the people, and I love my church there, and i know the work was definitely ministry. I want to go back but i just dont know about the timing.

I am fairly certain this dream is about that very thing. It would seem that your work in that country is your baby.

I don't see a clear answer in this dream about whether you should or shouldn't go I only see that the ministry is a child that you love.

Love,
Mia

Thanks Mia, I'm really praying for clarity on if I am to return or not.

But it is true: the ministry is a child that I dearly love.

It would also seem that it is suffering for lack of love from it's current caretakers. Is there anyway you could verify that?

One thing did stick out to me: You were not the mother of this child. BUT let me add that another member dreamed about taking care of a baby that she was not the mother of and it did end up being a job for her... so, that's not really an answer either.

I know for sure that its suffering. I was just waiting to see if/when God would raise up someone to fill the gap. The favor, access and position I had among these people of authority was rare for a young woman, and I know God used certain things about me to 'sneak' in and get His work done. But you're right, I wasn't the mother.

What's interesting though is that in their culture, the birth mother rarely raises the child...

But just because its suffering, I haven't interpreted that as I'm being called to return.

I pray that God reveals plainly and clearly exactly what He'd have you do.

In Jesus Name.
