A new job, communicating my priorities!

Post by Daisy on Mon Mar 25, 2013 5:42 am

I had a dream that I was interviewing for a new job. It was a full time position. They wanted to hire me, I then started having second thoughts about taking the position wondering how it would effect my family. I communicated to them before accepting the position, that I am a mom FIRST and foremost. I communicated that I may need days off if my kids get sick, or if they were off of school. I explained that I would know plenty in advance if they were out of school for a break, but that i couldnt control it if my kids got sick and i had to call in. i explained that i was a hard and faithful worker but could only take a part time position after considering my family duties. It was an office complex that was considering hiring me. I thought for sure they would reconsider hiring me after my discussion with them. To my surprise, they still wanted to hire me, and I was what they were looking for.

Irl come fall my kids are going to both be full day in school, and I have been considering finding a part time job. Though, on the flip side I have also been considering homeschooling instead.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

This doesn't seem symbolic, Dais.

 I know, right! Funny thing is, just moments ago at my nutritionists office, the manager heard me on the phone trying to get my blood test results faxed to my nutritionist, and she pretty much asked me to email my résumé if I'm looking for part time work! How funny is that! She must of liked my persistence and phone skills...lol! My dr office was giving me a hard time, but after several attempts finally got Someone on the Phone to cooperate with me and finally fax me the info I needed without waiting the 24/48 hour policy they have!
