church rejection

Post by Deborah on Thu Mar 07, 2013 3:54 pm

I dreamed a roof, like a sports stadium roof, was over my 5 acre farm. The whole area was a huge church. IRL rows of tree surround my property on three sides. In my dream the trees were there but they also had sand in front of them like a beach. This was where people danced and waved banners. Then I saw rows and rows of chairs that were covered in silk in a rainbow of vibrant colors. I knew this church had a great deal of Jewish influence. In the dream I walked toward a long table. Sitting behind the table were at least two women. One started a conversation with me. At first it was a cordial chat and then the woman told me I was not welcome to attend this church or be a part of it in any way. I wept. I tried to tell the women what an asset I'd be but they would not hear me. I woke up brokenhearted and it took a long time to go back to sleep.

Yep. I've had my share of rejection by churches as have I bet 98% of the people on this site.

:( sorry deborah.

what you said made me stop - you said "as have I bet 98% of the people on this site."
is this because many people on this site are prophetic? I agree with you , I just don't undertsand it.

I saw this as maybe there are things about churches that make them look attractive to us by all that they seem to have or offer, but in the end, if the heart of the members are not for what really counts (people), then they are just like clanging symbols and are of no value to the Lord. I know of churches that have a Jewish influence, which greatly interests me and I love to fellowship with them. Most of them are great, but there have been one or two who are so legalistic about practicing and keeping all the Jewish customs that it's almost oppressive and definitely exclusive.

Good one, D and thanks, Shan and Gracee. It was like the church was my idea of an "ideal" church and even though it was on my own property (even the mortgage is paid off irl) I was still not welcome. I think this is very common among people who have prophetic gifting--it's like we have to experience rejection by men so we are no longer influened by their approval or lack thereof and care only about God's approval. Yes, Shan, it's the hearts that matter, not the facility .

Do you have any issues of rejection with your close family members now?

Yes I do. One of my sisters has always hated me or at least that's how it feels to me. I think it's because I displaced her as the baby girl of the family when she was 11. Also I had more favor with our parents than she had.

Did your feelings in the dream feel like something your issues with your sister could invoke?

Yes, most definitely. She acts like the woman in my dream. She will be cordial to me if someone else is around and then turns really nasty when we are alone, like a night and day difference.

I would say that your dream is about your relationship with your sister.

Father,

I pray that you protect Deborah's heart even while you work on her sister's heart. I pray that the love Deborah have for her sister, and the desire to have a real relationship bear fruit. With you nothing impossible but with you all things are possible. As impossible as this might seem Lord, I ask that you work on her sister's heart, healing wounds that she is carrying that she not need to carry, and heal her so that she can see Deborah's love for her and receive it and give it back in return.

In the mean time I pray that you enfold Deborah with your love and just pour out a huge tangible expression of your love for her to heal every hurt she has from this rejection. I ask that in the meantime, while you are working on this relationship, that you continue to pour your tangible love into Deborah's life in every way possible and through relationships that are healthy and edifying.

IN Jesus Name.
