Walking through weird carnival

Post by Jazzy on Fri Feb 22, 2013 12:27 pm

A few days ago I dreamt that my husband and I were outside alongside a road in a grassy area, and he picked me up and sat me on his shoulders. It seemed playful. Then something happened where we had to walk through a town to find something (unsure what the motive was).

While walking towards this town, we ended up walking through a carnival. I remember seeing balloons, children and their parents, and game booths. However, the environment just did not feel right. It was also cloudy and a little gloomy outside. I remember thinking and telling my husband something along the lines of us not belonging here.

After walking through the carnival area, we continued and was now walking on a sidewalk alongside some stores. After that strip of stores, we were about to head down a rural road. I told my husband I believe we walked too far, and I think we should have been walking in the opposite direction all along. So we turned around and walked back, passing the stores. I remember looking in one store while walking and seeing a clown giving a child a balloon. I thought it was just weird.

Upon waking, I thought that maybe the carnival represented a demonic place because the feel from that dream reminded me of a horror-themed movie in a carnival setting with creepy music (although no music was in my dream). I'm not completely sure what it's about, but I've been praying that my husband and I don't make a wrong decision or take a wrong path of some sorts because in my dream I knew we didn't belong. I am curious if there are further thoughts about this.

I was wondering if there is an area of your life that might feel like you've taken a wrong turn?

Umm, there is something I question whether I did the will of God or not. Everything seems to be going okay, but I still keep it in my prayers. Is there a cue in my dream that makes you think "the wrong turn" was/is something in past or present rather than it being in the future? Just curious as I am still learning to understand my dreams.

Most of the time, if something is on our heart, that will be what our dreams are about. God tries to give us dreams in a timely fashion so that we can be sure of their meanings.

If there isn't something definite on your heart that fits perfectly with this, then I would say that it is about something in your future because dreams are very, very rarely about things from our pasts.

This thing that you were questioning, can you change course or is it a done deal?
