Dreams and The Lost

Post by TheWhiteShadow on Sat Dec 01, 2012 6:45 am

I would like to hear if any have had experiences - good or bad - when it comes to dream interpretation and the unsaved. I went through a couple weeks a few months back where I was given literal (or mostly literal) dreams that would manifest almost daily...and when this happened, I was quite excited to share these things as they did with people around me. That may or may not have been a mistake. Some of these dreams were shared before they manifested, and then when they did there was no denying what had happened as far as those people were concerned.

I also make it clear what I believe in with everyone, but that doesn't stop those with hard hearts from stopping short of crediting God. Oh, they still think it's supernatural and all, but won't move toward taking the next step...for now.

So, at least a couple individuals have decided to seek me out with their own dreams, wanting to know the meaning (if any). What do you do in this case? I know that God spoke to unbelievers through dreams in his Word, so I understand that he still does today. But, I also know that their dreams may not be God-dreams.

I'm looking to hear of your own experiences with something similar and what you may have learned from those instances.

I believe that dreams come from our own hearts, our minds, or God. I also seriously believe that they can and are a prophetic tool to reach out to saved and unsaved alike.

I would interpret the dreams with people making sure to give God credit because He deserves it and it will minister to people whether they acknowledge it or not.

I'm careful who I share my dreams with. In the early days God showed me what the pearl and swine scripture meant by stopping me short from sharing a dream by telling me not to cast my pearls before swine less they trample them underfoot and then turn and rend me. It takes Holy Spirit to know who and when to share your dreams; sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

Mia,

I find it interesting that you mention that. I have had the Lord tell me before not to share my dream with someone. I never did but kinda wondered why....now I understand.

Love in Jesus,

Connie
