Going into labor but can't give birth

Post by naidreamer on Tue Dec 23, 2008 8:05 am

Almost a year ago I had a dream that I looked two months pregnant but I was going into labor. A nurse was trying to help me push the baby out but the entire time during the dream I could not give birth. What does that mean? Keep in mind, I am not pregnant nor am I sexually active.

Hi naidreamer
Here a question for you: Was the baby a 2 months old fetus or was it fully developed with you just looking like you were two months pregnant?
If you were only looking like it but the baby was fully developed - what was your main emotion in the dream when you tried to push the baby out but couldn't?
If the baby was only a two months old fetus - could it be that God had planted a seed in you and this nurse could stand for things that were trying to get in the way, negative influences, maybe words, people, certain relationships that were trying to have you "abort" this baby before its time but they were not successful (you couldn't give birth)?
Bless disregard what doesn't fit.

I actually couldn't see the baby at all. All I recall is that I looked two months pregnant but I was in the hospital attempting to give birth as if I was nine months pregnant.

Thank you so much for your assistance. I think the baby might have been only a two month old fetus in which case the last part of your interpretation is correct. It certainly sounds like what I have endured thus far.

naidreamer, "to push" is an indication of "travail" or "birth pang": A women in great travail is rendered as one "labor, involving painful effort" (painfulness) it stresses the toil involved in the work. :whew:

A call to intercession maybe. Something to think about. A person can travail in prayer as well.

Halo:
Do you mind elaborating a little more on your thought process?

Thank you and Blessings,

Sure, naidreamer it is my pleasure, I will give you an example; When one starts school, he/she goes to preschool (preparing), then comes, elementary, from there, middleschool, finally-highschool, last-college.But before one can excell from one grade to another...he/she must toil and labor in order to be successful, for a promotion, but all the while it is to toil/labor with patience and diligence, being hard and exhausting work (to push) while accomplishing one trimaster (pregnant) at a time. One can't very well take a elementary- student and place them in college before a maturity is reached for this surley would be a premuture act. The same goes for the ministry work, to toil and labor in the word, gathering information (preparing) concerning knowledge, wisdom, and understanding...being taken on levels, therefore bringing them to a maturity to pass the test for graduation. So, one must "push" , toil, labor to bring forth that in which is being birthed (growing).

Thus these things are not accomplished over night, they are obtained over a period of time. It is a progressive day by day, trial by trial, valley by valley, storm by storm, temptation by temptation. All through-out God's word from Gen~Rev. we find men and women who worked hard, labored/toiled concerning gifts and callings...I think God for those people. Their hard work was an enabeling process, that allows people like you and me and the world to benefit from it...it is a powerful reality, but rewarding aswell.

Flower Power God Bless, Halo
