wild kale field

Post by Deborah on Thu May 03, 2012 7:53 am

I dreamed about a field of kale that was near a town about 20 miles away from where I live (irl, I very much doubt such a field exists, in fact I know of even no gardener around here who grows it). The kale was growing wild and it wasn't doing so well so I suggested another species be brought in to help the wild kale. This plan was very successful and harvest was abundant. I sensed people were very grateful for this kale.

I had this dream last night, so this morning I did a little research on kale. It is known as wild cabbage although it doesn't form heads like cabbage does. It is super nutritious, is known as the most hardy vegetable--it can be reaped under a foot of snow, in fact frost enhances the flavor, and its growth was really encouraged in the rationing days of WWII due to its high nutrient value. I'm wondering if this could be a call to me to grow some this year.
