Anyone has suggestions for this bible verse, in JUDE 9?

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil
about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander
but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" (Jude 9).

I heard that no one really knows for sure what Apostle Jude was referring to exactly when referring to the "Body of Moses"?

i think ther was contention ova moses body wen he died, he didnt make it in2 promise land,

I've read that the Apostle Jude referenced books that were not included in the Bible. One was the book of Enoch. And what you were referring to was in the Assumption of Moses or the Testament of Moses, something like that. I've never read anything from them, though, so I can't really say more than this.

its interesting.. i read somewhere that it might be hidden b/c the Lord didnt want the Israelites to make an Idol of Moses, his grave etc.. as some ppl make idols of the apostles etc..

Moses is a type of Christ.
The chapter is talking about Gods people that don't believe in him
And then all of a sudden the body of Moses is inserted.
That absolutely makes no sense.
Unless the body of Moses is the old testament (Gods Chosen), just as the New testament body of Christ is the Church.
The devil was most likely accusing Gods people before Michael.
I feel whats important in this verse is to notice how Michael respected Gods anointed one (devil) even after he had fallen.
Its the same kind of respect that David showed when he killed the man that had killed Sol when Sol asked him to finish him off.
