"You will continue to struggle...."

Post by Cloud on Wed Dec 28, 2011 8:56 am

i had a dream followed by a Word regarding it

i dreamed about this young lady whom i only THINK is my spouse

she and i were in a highschool classroom

she was *right there* but i felt like i couldn't talk to her

then the Word i received about it was this:

"if you don't or UNTIL you submit to MY will, you will continue to struggle."

God's WILL could be anything...i don't know specifically what He meant

Hi Cloud Connected,

How did you come up with this name? I like it, but anyways...

As always discern and pray.

I know you have been reading scripture and all of the things that people express to you, going to church etc. for some time.

There are a lot of scriptures that touch on God's Will.

I like this scripture, because it discusses uniting.

Ephesians 1: 5-12.
He destined us in love to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace which he lavished upon us. For he has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of his will, according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fulness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him, according to the purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will, we who first hoped in Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory.

I was thinking about something along the lines you heard today.

I am very familiar with struggle.
To me, struggle is not letting go of my own will because if I were to let go, what would I hold onto?

It takes faith and trust to let go, knowing that He is holding onto me, and that His plan is perfect.

That He has all intention of filling me to the brim with Him, that it might pour forth onto others for His Glory.

If I pray for Him to help me to let go of my own will, and the willingness to do so, His will, is on the way to being accomplished in my life.

Just some thoughts,

Piano

yes

the way the Word was worded though made it sound like it was about this specific girl or A girl period

let's think about the dream symbols:

1.) I'm in a highschool classroom again

2.) A girl I like and believe is my future spouse based on other dreams is there BUT I feel like I can't talk to her

School is a place of LEARNING but WHAT do I need to be LEARNING?

Is she NOT my future spouse?

Either way, WHAT am I NOT doing that I should be doing?

Seriously, I don't know why God INSISTS on ignoring me.

I'm going nowhere because God is ignoring me.

It offends me so much. It makes me want to be cynical.

Just a thought, Cloud -

Yes, school is a place of learning. It's also a place of preparation. And, interestingly enough, she's ALSO in a place of preparation. Rather than being concerned with what you're supposed to be learning, I suggest beginning with acknowledging that God is preparing you. Think of when you were sitting in a classroom in real life. Were you really all that concerned about all the knowledge you needed to gain during, say, that week, that year, those years that you were in school? Most likely not - the teacher is the one concerned about what has to be taught, how to impart the knowledge.

Just my own take on it, but the whole process would be so much easier - and less of a struggle - if you just acknowledge that you're in a place of preparation and that you don't necessarily need to understand how or what it is that's being prepared in you. Everything God does is good and for a good end.

Cloud,
Again discard if you wish...

When I read the dream, the first thing that came to my mind was that the "girl" reminded me of "the church".

She is right there, but you can't seem to talk to her?

Thats why the word unite stood out to me in the scripture.
God DOES use symbols in dreams, so how will He use them to edify you?

Just a little out of the box of your train of thought concerning this particular girl that you like.

All for now, before I get all wordy.

Peace,

Piano

School means a place of LEARNING...what if the thing I'm suppose to "learn" is that this person is NOT my spouse?

He said "struggle".

"Struggle" with what? Joblessness? Not already having a person in my life? Porn? Anxiety?

White Shadow...whether or not this person is who i've been thinking they are...wouldn't God WANT me to know what He wants me to CHANGE about myself regardless?

Why wouldn't God want me to know what I should be LEARNING? If He WANTS it, then surely He'd tell me...so I can do it.

Piano, I got my name from a song

You said something about the girl being "The Church"....it depends on how God sees her.

She's NOT a believer.

Why do you feel God is ignoring you? He IS speaking to you...hence the dream. I SO agree with what has been said here, especially what Mark said because school is not only learning, but it prepares you for the next level. What you learn in the 9th grade, prepares you for the 10th grade...etc.

Being cynical won't get you anywhere except for frustration. You want details, but you may not be ready for details...which is why God is preparing you. Some excellent points have been made here, I admonish you to sit still and let it all sink in. Just like everything else in life, we have to let patience have it's perfect work. Answers do not come over night...sometimes they ONLY COME when you've completed the last set of instructions.

Blessings...

Do not fight FOR victory, but fight FROM THE PLACE of victory. Jesus has ALREADY won the battle!

it was a while back.

i need to hear God's voice DAILY! this has always been an issue with me.

i feel that at least SOME things have changed since then.

i've fallen even more since then. i've had moments where i felt like i was truly on the verge of repenting, etc...

i've EVEN acknowledged the possibility that this girl is NOT who i think she is.

You want details, but you may not be ready for details...which is why God is preparing you.

oh no i'm READY.

i'll do something if God actually gives me something to DO.

DOING is what i know. DOING is the opposite of being bored.

i don't care what the answer is...just that there IS an answer.

what is God's checklist of what i have to change about myself...porn...what else?

Cloud,

I really feel the Lord is trying to tell you this:

If we try to do things in our own power, we will fail. Don't beat yourself up about things that you have failed in or are currently struggling with. Let the Lord change that part of your life. Go forward today with every effort to improve your relationship with the Lord. God changes us a little at a time. He died so that you may live! He died so that your sins and the sins of others may be forgiven. We must accept that forgiveness. When I first gave my life to Christ, I had a list of stuff that I felt needed to change immediately.....but the Lord changed other things in my life first. I was so tormented by that. I thought how can the Lord use me if I can not control these things in my life? Then when I was praying one day and lamenting about these things I could not change the Lord asked me, "Connie why do you beat yourself up about these things?" I was like, "What?" He wants to change us in such a way that we cannot do it ourselves. He talks to us everyday! Look for him in the little things. Look for him in creation, in our daily tasks, look for him in the very fact that we wake up each day and take our first breath....that is a miracle all it's own and God saying to us that he loves us by giving us the first breath we take. Getting to know the Lord is a work in process....we must seek him....and seeking him with our whole heart will let us see all the things he does each moment of everyday that are for us personally. He talks to us all the time...are we listening? So do not worry about your mistakes....we all make them. It does not matter the sin Cloud, we all sin and no sin is greater than another. Sin is sin to the Lord. Having said that though, the Lord has already forgiven you for the sins in your life. He knows your not perfect but yet he loves you as though you are. He sees you as though he is looking at Jesus because Jesus makes us righteous before the Father. Just relax and admit before the Lord you can't do it on your own and give him permission to take control over your life and lead you in the way you should go. You will find that he will do it a little at a time and sometimes so subtly you will hardly believe how much you have changed and how quickly.

Trust Him cloud
