Jesus trying to wash me?!

Post by Jasmine on Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:10 pm

In my dream, Jesus was trying to wash me, but I wouldn't let him in the stall. I was embarrassed and I didn't want him to see me nude. He was splashing water under the stall at me. He tried twice to do this and I wouldn't let him. Also, a little rainbow was reflected on my belly.

Hi jasmine! Thse are just my thoughts. Is there an area in your life that you are embarrassed to let God see or cleanse (something you would rather keep private)? Does that ring a bell at all? The rainbow reminds me of God's promise and covenant he has made with us. He will never leave or forsake us, not matter what! If this doesn't fit plz just toss it out.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Jasmine,

We all have something we are embarrassed about. He knows about it anyway so no need to feel that way. He died for our embarrassment.

He is so good.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

But, but, but, but..... I feel so ashamed. I hate on myself. I can't seem to take control.

Hi Jasmine...how transparent of you to post the things you are struggling with! I love what Connie wrote...he died to take all our embarrassing moments away! I also personally believe that sometimes we can 'hate on ourselves' to kind of punish ourselves, when he actually died to take our punishments too! I also personally believe that one of the enemy's key weapons is condemnation. I believe the more condemned we feel, the more we tend to be inclined to sin even more. For example, if I am trying to eat healthy and I decide to have a candy bar and feel guilty afterwards...I tend to just say 'well I messed up already, I might as well eat whatever junk I want the rest of the day'. I think our mentality with sin is the same way sometimes, when we mess up we figure we better just wallow in it for a while, when nothing is further from the truth. Ya know? When we sin and we focus on Christ, and how He has made us righteous (not by our efforts, but by his alone), and paid the price for our sin...its easier to get back on track when we focus on what HE did that makes us right with Him. Does that make sense? When we focus on how HE has paid the price for our righteousness, then condemnation and the enemy cant have anymore power over us! I believe the strength of sin is in condemnation. Sin cannot have dominion over us when we receive what Jesus has done for us, and walk in knowing in HIM we are righteous. Be encouraged sweetie, that He will NEVER leave you or forsake you, and His covenant (commitment to you) is FOREVER SURE!!! :hooray:

As always, these r just my thoughts...
