taking care of someone elses' responsibility

Post by Daisy on Thu Nov 10, 2011 5:44 am

I had this dream I was in charge of all these kids. Not sure who's kids they were, did'nt recognise them. Someone else was supposed to watch this little girl. We were all outside, the kids were having fun in the snow. This little girl kept coming over by me and the kids I was in charge of. When all of us went to go inside, this little girl came with us. The person who was suppose to be watching her knew she was with us. When her parents came to get her, they were wondering why so and so wasn't watching her. Her parents were curious, more why so and so was slacking...but they didn't mind that I was watching the girl. In the dream, I felt like I was taking over someone elses responsibility, but I didn't mind.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Hey, Daisy.

Just a thought, but the Parable of the Talents came to mind...specifically where the one who was given one talent - but was not a responsible steward of it - had that talent taken away and given to the one who already had many but had demonstrated their faithfulness.
