Water ruining my newly laid flooring

Post by Mia Sherwood on Fri Sep 30, 2011 10:48 am

I dreamed of a little bit of water spilling on my newly laid hardwood flooring. Somehow the water turned into a lot of water because the floor boards were buckling up from swelling up from it. Then, you could see that the floor was covered in a couple of inches of water. I was thinking that I hoped insurance covered this kind of damage because I JUST bought the floor. I remember asking if someone was using an air conditioner because that dripped water all over my hardwood floor, warping it.

I have newly laid laminate and have newly refinished hardwood. In the dream the laminate was destroyed, which was newly laid.

Hi Mia
Iím new at this, but love to hear from you.

I believe there was something you did or said that was carnal reasoning and the Holy Spirit is trying to show that this argument will not stand. You try to defend your point by reasoning and experience of the past. The Spirit is not letting go on this one.

Thanks

Hello, Mia -

I certainly don't want to presume to understand how you dream, so these are just things that came to mind - and, since this isn't the Interpretation Test section, I really don't want to claim that I know!

If there's a theme to the dream, it would seem to be something that starts out small, and has the potential to grow in to something very damaging, perhaps to some type of investment (physical, relational, etc). From the dream, it seems that with your digging into it would reveal more than what you originally perceived. I know that's not very specific, though!

I also wanted to suggest that the conversation about the air conditioner may be the "key" that reveals the application of the dream in real life - this thought is based upon other dreams you've shared.

Once again, only thoughts. I pray the meaning is revealed to you.
-Mark

Don't say you weren't warned... laugh

All joking aside, is there a way you could have your pipes checked? Are you aware of any plumbing/AC issues of the past that could rear their ugly head again @home or @the restaurants?

~Hey there Mia,

I have to go along with Whiteshadow on this one. I feel this is a prophetic dream for you. This was my first thought as I read the dream. Something that starts out small ends up being more than you expect and ends up being a flood situation. More than you bargained for. Could this have anything to do with your restaurant? Not the physical place but something going on in business itself? I feel led to share this with you for encouragement:

Isaiah 50:7-9

7: The Lord God helps me, so I will not be ashamed. I will be determined, and I know I will not be disgraced.
8: He shows that I am innocent, and he is close to me. So who can accuse me? If there is someone, let us go to court together. If someone wants to prove I have done wrong, he should come and tell me.
9: Look! All those who try will become useless like old clothes; moths will eat them.

I pray this is of some help.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

Just thoughts...

If this dream is symbolic then I would ask you if there is anything that you're planning that you've laid the foundation for? Like you have an overall project goal/vision and you thought you were through with a phase of it (since this is dealing with flooring then I would say that this completed phase was foundational, it sets the stage for the upcoming stages) but some of the things/ideas/assumptions that went into the formation/completion of phase one are flawed and actually are causing damage and you're about to find out the depth of the damage? Like partnering with someone to purchase something, making the purchase, then finding out that they don't have the funds they committed to the deal? Not saying this is it, but using this as an example to show the principle of what I'm trying to describe...

I can wait to hear the manifestation.... bandaid God is good for warning you... praying

Going along with this theme, is there anything going on in your life that could easily slip through the cracks, causing MUCH potential damage if not dealt with properly and promtly???

Just my thoughts....

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

just thoughts, please pray ... someone releasing water spirits on something foundational in your life in an ever increasing way ... an additional though, air conditioners are meant to regulate the temperature and humidity and it failed to do so, someone who you think should be blessing you is bringing destruction to an important area of your life, doing it gradually ... blessings martin
