Greetings!

Post by greyfort on Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:22 am

So I've searched before online for Christian symbol interpretation - not Christian symbols but the symbol interpretation from a Christian worldview. Anyhow I was discussing last night's dream with a friend. I had 2 of the 3 parts of it interpreted (I knew right after I woke up on those parts), but one part was confusing me (in that I'm not sure what was being conveyed, and I *think* I know, but really wanted confirmation) so I was trying to see what the main symbol could mean. And I came across this website. I read a couple of Mia's articles and so far hadn't seen any red flags (indicating false teachings) and so wanted to join this forum to see what else I can learn and share as well.

I really liked the advice that Mia gave in one of the articles I read - to go to God for the interpretation and then go to someone else for confirmation. Very brilliant advice.

Anyway - I've always been the type to remember my dreams when I woke up, etc.... I'll have full blown "movies" playing at times. The first time I remember a dream coming true was a bit unnerving. Then I really started to accept that God might be talking to me when three months after I dreamed about my congregational leader dying from a heart attack (and the dreams went on all night - I'd wake up and was _already_ praying for him) he did die - we don't know for sure it was a heart attack but it was a quick and sudden death. And since then (about a year and a half ago) I've continued to have several dreams that just aren't like all the others.

I've continued to be unnerved by it all (I was raised in a church that taught "God just doesn't do that anymore") but I believe God just really hit me over the head recently with "Yes I do."

Welcome! It is so good to have you here. I believe God gives us dreams to warn of upcoming events and dreams to encourage the body of Christ. Jesus changeth not. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If he did it yesterday he will do it again, and again. I pray you are as blessed here as we are! I love this site!

Love in Jesus,

Connie huggins

Thank you Connie - perhaps others have said this but your statement "I believe God gives us dreams to warn of upcoming events...." really just spoke to me. I read that statement in relation to the dream I had about our congregation's leader dying and suddenly it made more sense. While I know God warns us of things (sometimes) I hadn't really realized until just now that was what He was probably doing that night. I think I knew that, but I didn't really _know_ that - you know how that is? :)
