I want to be more busy!

Recommended Posts

There's people at the Church I've gone to...just as an example...who are like ROCKSTARS in the Kingdom of God...so to speak.

They're ALWAYS busy and productive and going places and doing stuff.

I want that!

I'm just not busy enough in my own life and it pisses me off.

It makes me miserable.

Pray that God helps me with this and I be the RIGHT kind of busy for me and my personality.

~Cloud,

Serving God is not about filling our own voids in life but filling a purpose for Him. Ask the Lord to show you what he wants you to do. One other thing to note. One other note. Are the people who are doing everything getting to busy? By that I mean you can get so busy in church you neglect your relationship with God.....and that is not a good place to be.....ask the Lord where he wants you and what he wants you to do.

God bless,

Connie

This reminds me of the story in Luke 10, where Martha was busy serving, but Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus. Martha was disturbed that Mary wasn't helping her so she asked Jesus did anyone care that she was doing all of the work. Jesus responded that Mary chose what was good...sitting at his feet and learning Him.

I belong to a "Busy" church. It's a young church. The work that they are doing is GOOD, however what God wants to do in this church, he can't do, because the spiritual stability of the church isn't there. They are out doing GOOD WORKS in the community, but they are not doing too well with sitting at Jesus' feet and learning Him. They see the fruit of what they are doing in the streets, but the fruit isn't remaining because it HAS TO BE balanced with having intimacy with the Lord. In other words, they know how to get the community in the church, but because they lack the fruits of the spirit...which comes from intimacy with the Lord, the people don't stay.

Busy-ness, isn't the answer, but balance between busy and intimacy with Christ IS THE ANSWER.

I HAVE been asking God what He wants me to do.

Every thread I've made in the Prophecy Section is about that.

As far as those people I mentioned...surprisingly NO...they're NOT "too busy" to the point that their relationship with God has failed.

No, they're ON FIRE FOR GOD.

I wouldn't have mentioned them if they weren't.

I was actually given that in another thread in the Prophecy section a while back.

But what I DON'T understand is...HOW does God expect me to "sit at his feet" when MY DAD just badgers me CONSTANTLY about DOING something.

"sitting at the Lord's feet and learning from Him" AND appeasing my dad MUST be one and the same.

And that's what I keep asking about...

WHAT is that THING I could DO which would appease both God AND my dad?

Since God wants me to OBEY my dad...but He also wants me to
"sit at His feet..." what ACTIVITY/JOB does that translate into?

I'm going to continue saying the same thing over and over until you get it. When you sit before God and talk to him and get HIS will for your own life, then you will feel more at ease.

The Bible says...

"When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)
