Is dreaming a must?

Post by profbussy on Mon May 16, 2011 3:59 pm

I dream a lot. In short, a relative called me a dreamer as young as when I was 8 years old.

Recently, I don't really dream like I used to and I forget my dreams?
Just wondering if dreaming is a must for every believer.

I also think God might be trying to teach me a different way to hear from Him...so I don't have to sleep first before hearing from the Lord. Is there anyone that can help me please?

Thanks and God bless you!

Hey Profbussy! I too sometimes get into a "dry time" when I don't get dreams as often as usual. Like you, I dream a lot and when this dry time hits me it is kind of frustrating because dreaming becomes such a part of one's life.

I truely believe that God speaks to all believers in dreams, but not everyone realise this or some believers think that God doesn't speak to us in dreams anymore. But this ministry is a great example of how God speaks to His children. He not only speaks to believers, in the bible there is proof that he spoke to non believers as well in the form of dreams. God is always the same and will never change.

Hope this helped a bit :)

God bless

~Profbussy,

No it is not a must that all have dreams just like it is not a must that all preach, teach, have healing ministries, etc. I agree with Sirianta...We go through dry spells and sometimes that is because the Lord wants us to seek new ways to hear from him but sometimes not. The Lord speaks to me many ways. Reading the bible, daily life application, through prayer and devotion, etc. Ask the Lord to show you other ways he is trying to communicate with you. I pray this is of help, God bless.

Love in Jesus,
