Pray for Obama!!!

Post by hind'sfeet on Tue May 03, 2011 9:28 am

PLEASE pray for Obama's Safety!!! It's of utmost importance that any plans on his life are thwarted and revealed. That the plans of the enemy will be brought to light.

Amazing that you said this because a friend that I have in the UK said that the Lord spoke to her two years ago and said that there would be an uprise with Gadafi (spelling?) and that Obama would need an extreme prayer covering around the month of May '11. My prayer group, along with others, have been intercedeing for him FERVENTLY for the past month of so...since I heard what God shared with her.

A lot of stuff has been going on and with my natural eyes, I can see where protection would be needed, but only God knows what the weapons are that are attempting to form.

Let's lift him up, as well as ALL of our leaders...this is a trying time.

It was actually a prophesy I listened to today on a particular radio show. I didn't realize that the radio show had been recorded back in 09!! I thought they were talking about "today" like this Week!
I don't want to say what was prophesied specifically because of "Big Brother" (because of the things that are going on now with the heightened defense on our bases and posts because of OBL) but if you want, I can pm anyone the radio show.

P.S.
I totally agree.

Hey all,

Something else comes to mind here. Judgement. We sit in our homes, churches, schools and communities and place judgements and word curses on our leaders, especially our president. We don't approve of this or that and we start to speak things over them. We should be praying for them and asking God to give them all they need to operate in the office he has appointed them. We should be asking for good judgement in all circumstances and wisdom to do what is wright in the most difficult situations. We should be praying that they are saved and have knowledge of the Lord their God and be praying for their safety and that of their families. We should be speaking good things over them. Do I think everything this president has done is right, no I don't, but I do not condemn the man for something I do not understand or speak word curses over him and them complain when I do not agree with something he said or did that I have no real understanding of. We as a nation need to stand behind our leaders and be an example to them and others.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

Connie~I couldn't agree with you more!!! I believe that even if we don't agree with everything our leaders may say or do...the bottom line is that GOD is in control no matter what and He actually appoints our leaders (even though we do have our part in voting here in the u.s.)! I think that we as Christians need to have a Godly respect for our leaders, whether we LOVE them or agree with everything they do or not...and that it is a poor christian representation if we slam them with our words. Just my opinion....

Re: Pray for Obama!!!

Post by hind'sfeet on Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:46 pm

You two are so right. I'm very guilty of that. I find it very difficult to find the line of what I can and cannot say/believe because I grew up with a guardian dad that always called political people he didn't agree with, idiots and say stuff about the things they do. I see this from other Christians too and also I see Christians (other family members) who seem to do nothing and not even care what out govt. does.
I am so confused because of this. One side tells me that I need to stop worrying about it which makes me feel like they are the ones at fault for our country being the way it is because Christians "aren't supposed to be involved...", and the other side makes me feel like they are involved and doing something about it, spreading the word about the abuse of power and making sure that people know what's going.
But most of them do this while slamming. I don't have any good examples of a good middle. I've stopped most of my slamming except sometimes I can't help "liking" others slamming comments. I do post links to stuff without commenting on it now. But that still doesn't make the other side that says don't get involved, happy.

PREACH GIRL!!!!!!!!! The sad thing is that it's not the "Nation" that upsets me the most when it comes to judging our leaders...it's the CHRISTIANS!!!! I can't tell you how many CHRISTIANS I know are sitting around bashing and passing around crude jokes about our leaders. What happened to praying? I'm telling you...God is NOT pleased because little do they know that the very words and jokes they are saying, is against God Himself. All of the complaining and and murmurring is against God Himself. All I can say is...WOW! If we would just HUMBLE ourselves AND PRAY...God promises He would HEAL OUR LAND...but NOOOOOOOOO, we are doing just what the world is doing and it's so sad. We won't get anywhere with that and we can't blame our leaders...we need to blame ourselves because WE HAVE THE POWER to change this whole land....WORLD!

I totally agree Cholette. Why are Christians being for the most part silent rather than praying? Why don't we pray and ask God who we should vote for? Why don't e all pray about all the situations? Why do they have to be so confusing? I'm not kidding about the "don't get involved" it even incl. not praying because they tell me not to get involved but they don't suggest that we pray about the links I post. I do pray about the stuff I post. I've seen God answer a lot of prayers even recently in regards to the things I've posted.
I'm not perfect, the examples I grew up with run deep and I'm confused.

Re: Pray for Obama!!!

Who is more important to you all Obama or God? Is Obama too good for God? Are Obama and other leaders too good to be rebuked by people of God and by God himself. Didn't Moses rebuke Pharaoh? Wasn't Pharaoh the King Of the Egyptians, didn't John the Baptist rebuke King Herod for taking his brother's wife as his own and he is a King. Do you honestly think that any man can contend against God. Do you all honestly think that God is happy with Obama.

Romans 13 verse 1-7:

[1] Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
[2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
[3] For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
[4] For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

[5] Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
[6] For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
[7] Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Is Obama a terror or not a terror to good works? Is Obama a minister of God? How has Obama treated God, Jesus Christ and the bible? How has Obama treated God's commandments? How has Obama treated Christians? How has Obama treated people?

Is Kim Jong Il a terror or not a terror to good works? Is Papa Doc a terror or not a terror to good works? Is Putin a terror or not a terror to good works?

Re: Pray for Obama!!!

Post by Dove-Solutions on Sat Jan 07, 2012 9:04 am

No one is to good for God. We all fall short of the Glory of God. How are we any different then our leaders? Are we not all sinners? Are we not all fallen and doomed for damnation without Christ? Our revelation and salvation came a little before theirs is all. We need to pray for their salvation, wisdom, guidance, protection, understanding so that they will know the Lord. This is the godly way the way the Lord would have them to guide us. We are not to pass judgement lest we be judged. God appointed them to there positions of authority and we as believers need to pray for them and respect their authority. All authority is from the Lord.

In answer to your question:

Yes both of them have made some horrible mistakes.....Paul also made mistakes but the Lord was the ruler of his heart in the end. Sometimes as Christians we judge them worse than we were judged ourselves. Let us show mercy, kindness, gentleness, love, patience, goodness and show them the love of God and be an example for them. In this way we sway the heart of others, who seek after the same things and through our example seek them with all their heart. The first rule of leadership is:

Example, Example, Example.

When we pray for them: Pray for their salvation, wisdom, understanding. Pray they rule according to God's principals. Pray for their safety and that of their families. Pray for the peace of God to be on them in all things. You see it is easy for us to criticize them because we have no idea what they face everyday. We have no way of knowing the things they see everyday or hear. When we hear in part, understand in part and see in part then we judge in part also.

I pray this helps,

Love in Jesus,

Connie

Re: Pray for Obama!!!

Post by butterfly on Sat Jan 28, 2012 4:21 am

Dove Solutions I am speaking the truth about Barack Obama, I am not judging him. From Obama went in office I remember warning people on this forum as well as on other Christian forums about him, but most of you did not listen, if I was judging Barack Obama God would not have been giving me dreams about your nation. You and some Christians refuse to accept the truth. You ignore the seriousness of sin and the need for people to repent including Barack Obama. You ignore actions and their serious consequences. When people disobey Jesus Christ commandments there are serious consequences. Barack Obama calls himself a Christian and has treated God, Jesus Christ and the bible with utter contempt, he has created laws that goes against the word of God, he has put measures in place to teach young children that homosexuality is normal, he is leading people to sin against God and he is trying to force the church to hold gay marriages. He is trying to force Jamaica and other nations to accept homosexuality. Barack Obama has disposed of leaders in Africa and trying to dispose of the Syrian leader which has caused more Christians to be killed, and come under persecution with shariah law is being enforced in Egypt, Libya and other nations. Guns from America were purposely sent into Mexico which gangs used to murder Mexicans, and Barack Obama knew about it.

Proverbs 20 verse 11

[11] Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

Ephesians 5

[1] Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
[2] And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
[3] But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
[4] Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
[5] For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
[6] Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
[7] Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
[8] For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
[9] (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
[10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
[11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
[12] For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

2 Chronicles 33 verse 1-10

[1] Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
[2] But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
[3] For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
[4] Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
[5] And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
[6] And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
[7] And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
[8] Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
[9] So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
[10] And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.

Daniel.5

[1] Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.
[2] Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
[3] Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
[4] They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
[5] In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
[6] Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
[7] The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
[8] Then came in all the king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.
[9] Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

[17] Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
[18] O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
[19] And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.
[20] But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
[21] And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
[22] And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
[23] But hast lifted up thyself against the LORD of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
[24] Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
[25] And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
[26] This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
[27] TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
[28] PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
[29] Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
[30] In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
[31] And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Acts 12 verse 20-24

[20] And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.
[21] And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
[22] And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
[23] And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
[24] But the word of God grew and multiplied.

Romans 13:1 - "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

And, while I won't post it all, there's the rule of Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33: http://niv.scripturetext.com/2_chronicles/33.htm, whose reign began with him "doing evil in the eyes of the LORD," but who eventually came to repentance after judgement. It says that God heard his plea, brought him back to his kingdom, and then he knew that the LORD is God.

No leader, save Christ himself, is perfect. We are told to pray.

We agree with the Word, and we pray for whomever we have as leaders.

We agree with the Word, and we pray for our coworkers.

We agree with the Word, and we pray for our families and friends.

Lastly, Politics are a delicate topic for many. Just as a blanket statement, let's remember that this is a site primarily for dream interpretation...and also for prayer and encouragement with our brothers and sisters. Unsaved eyes come here, so let's be especially careful in the way that we express our political beliefs to those we love.

Thank you,
-Mark

Butterfly,

I understand what you are saying and in some things I agree....but I must stand on the word. The word is Jesus Christ, which tells me that all authority is from the Father and we are to respect that authority. We are to pray for them and set the example for them to find Christ.

It is one thing to judge for discernment....but when we judge in any other way we are putting ourselves at risk spiritually.

Love in Jesus,

Connie
