pwilso512 0 Posted October 31, 2008 I received my school counseling master's in 2005, and still have not secured a job in a school. I have gone on interviews, but have not been selected. It's been almost 3 years. I've been praying and praying...applying for jobs....praying. I don't know if school counseling is what I'm supposed to do anymore. I've been praying for guidance from God, but all I'm getting is silence. It is so frustrating when God is silent (I think I'm just impatient to a degree). I need to learn patience (that's probably what God is trying to teach me with his silence). So please pray that God will show me His will for my life concerning my career direction and open a door to a job opportunity that will be fulfilling to my soul. Lord we just ask that you would give him open doors of opportunity and give him confidence to know which ones are from you and to slam shut the doors you do not want him to walk through. Cholette 0 Posted October 31, 2008 I have been there as well and I have found that when you don't know what to do...DO NOTHING!! God will always lead and direct you some how and some way. I've also realized that when those times come when it seems he's not saying anything, there was something he told me to do that I haven't done yet. Go back to see if there were some last set of instructions that you haven't move in yet. Sometimes it's an instruction that requires some courage or that you don't agree with...If not, be still and KNOW that HE is God!!! He is faithful and will never leave you hanging!!!!
