Dogs fighting

Post by Godchick on Wed Dec 29, 2010 7:36 pm

My ex boyfriend and I are at my primary school. We kiss and all is well. I then take a long shower, washing every part of me - my hair also. Then outside I notice two dogs fighting each other. One dog is Jamie, an old dead dog from my past. We have to put him down because he was vicious. The second dog is my current dog, a beautiful golden retriever who would not hurt a fly. Anyway they were fighting over the kennel. the old victious dog bit the placid new dog on the ear, which started bleeding.

EOD.

Your ex boyfriend and your dog Jamie seem to represent your past and your old nature, whereas your clean body and your golden retirever represent your new nature. When you're born again, you're a new creation and old things pass away and behold, all things become new...HOWEVER the flesh has a way of resurrecting itself and needs to be put to death daily.

I heard a preacher (Ravi Zaccahrias?) once explain the fight between our old and new natures this way. He said it's like two dogs fighting. The one who wins is the one who gets fed the most.

The kennel is your heart. You need to make sure you guard it with all diligence, feed the spirit and not the flesh.

p.s. any thoughts regarding the biting on the ear?

anyone know what the ear represents?

I've been saved since I was 8 years old, and my ex boyfriend also loves Jesus alot... ;)

Maybe there's more to this, but I think when Jamie bit your current dog's ear in your dream, it was just a dominance issue--dogs do that to one another to show who is boss.

I was just reading about training dogs and the author said that if a person has a dog that shows dominance, the two most effective weapons are changing the environment of the dog and using subtle brain games. Isn't that interesting? If we're trying to win a battle against the flesh we need to renew our minds and be careful about what's in our environments.

Perhaps the ear was attacked so you couldn't hear the leading of the Holy Spirit? Just a thought.....
