WATCHING ON A DEER STAND

Post by HisLightbeam on Tue Nov 16, 2010 1:29 pm

I am with a group of friends, of whom my siblings are apart of. We are

at my father's house in the length of driveway that has wild tree

growth. We are dressed for the cold. We see a man that is trying to

creep up on us and we know that he is trying to do something to attack

us, but we cannot figure out what. IRL, I think that I am acting as a watchman for my family. Does that make sense? Because I always end up going higher to watch and prevent the enemy in these dreams, and I have them over and over to varying degrees.

Then I get up on this stand, like a deer stand. It has a pulley so

that I don't have to climb a ladder, I can just get on the foot of it,

and pull a rope and it will pull me up to the top. Because of the way

it is made, we figure that I have a good chance of the enemy not seeing

me look down on him and I was prepared to do whatever it took to keep

my family safe, I was prepared to answer whatever he came to do.

The dream jumped to me being in england. And I was with a friend whose

mother did not like me because she felt I was influencing her to break

from whatever traditions her mother held for her. As we were walking

on the street, I saw how each building was enclosed, and segmented into

small apartments for families. I saw that people were happy to do with

less and happy for their movements to be automated (they were walking

on escalated sidewalks cut out for walking, and they were not to walk

on the grass). The people had exercise machines that turned on at a

certain time each day, they had a quota of food doled out to them.

They looked happy, but I was like, how could you be happy with so much

control of your life given to someone else? I was praising God that I

did not live in that country. Also I noticed that they could not go

outside of their boundaries.

Sounds to me like you have a prophetic gifting and you're just doing in this dream what prophets do: watch and warn. Every true prophet I know has serious problems with traditionalism and can see its bondages clearer than most.

First of all, Deborah, thank you for taking the time to comment on my post. Yes, I have been dreaming since I was a little girl. I wasn't even in school yet. From this website, I am getting a whole lot more understanding than I had initially. I used to struggle with it. In the area that I am from, people consider it witchcraft, so I used to think I was possessed. LOL, I used to try to cast whatever it was out of me, because I didn't think I should be seeing future events. Thank God for salvation.

I agree with you about the traditionalism and bondage. For example, why do we have traditions in the church that have nothing to do with biblical examples? And why would we let them stymie the spirit of the Living God when He is attempting to do a new thing in His houses. (House, universally)

Psalm 61:3
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
