How a 'Word' can be altered or nullified.

Post by Cloud on Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:19 am

5 months ago, i received a word regarding my interactions with my dad.

in the word, God Himself acknowledged that i had forgiven my dad and BECAUSE of that, He would bless me.

well, needless to say, i continued indulging in a certain sin habit afterwards, had continued skirmishes with my dad, and the blessings never came.

this irks me to death.

everything could be different by now had...something...not gone awry.

i don't know specifically what that is though, i just speculate.

is it possible that this all resulted simply because i didn't have a certain attitude or amount of faith?

i don't know how that's possible though, upon receiving the word, i was elated and simply believed it to be true; alas, 5 months later and nothing.

OOOOH The Devil is a liar!!!!!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

The enemy has you focused on things not seen. Switch your focus cloud connected your faith in Jesus is not what he can do for you but, what he has already done for you. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior he forgives your Sins and washes you clean and never brings them up again but, he also blesses you with the same measure of forgivness to give to other that he forgave you with. In order to walk into that blessing of forgiveness you have to walk in Faith.

Is it possible that you haven't really forgiven your dad?

Did he say when he would bless you?

Did He say how He would bless you?

Are you in the position to receive it?

I don't see how that could be possible, considering what God said, and especially after this long.

I mean geez, if I forgive someone, but then they turn around KEEP doing what they do to me, what message does that send to anyone?

I can FORGIVE, but that is not the same thing as tolerance nor acceptance of maltreatment.

Unfortunately no. There's never been a 'When' with me, it's always been under what conditions God would bless me.

1. Yes, I was told I would no longer be an outsider.
2. Apparently I haven't been.

That's what these threads are for, to get down to the brunt of WHAT IT IS that is holding the gold back.

Are you seeking the gold or the one who holds the gold? There is a HUGE differnce.

You always seem to revert back and address a sin in your life. That's where your attention seems to be.
