Water Race

Post by Gissy2 on Mon Oct 18, 2010 2:31 pm

Dreamt I was in a pool and I had to swim some laps. I am not the best swimmer plus I don't like swimming in deep waters. The pool's water was deep and the lanes seem long. I didn't want to get into the pool but I did. My stroke was not the best, I was scared, uncertain, doubtful and nervous but I did pretty well, I was in lane one. Does anyone have any ideas on interpretating this one?

I believe that God is bringing you into unchartered waters, meaning, He is bringing you into a place in your life where He can confront and deal with your fear and doubt: and, where in you dont have any choice but to walk or shall I say swim through it. Neither drowning is an option nor stopping in the middle of the lane. The encouraging part of your dream which tells that victory is sure at the end, is when you said, I did pretty well. God is assuring you that you are an overcomer and a conqueror.

Paul said, lets run the race to gain the price!

God bless and His grace will abound in you!

As I read this I do agree with you. I am in a situation which I have never been in before, it's very bazard to me. I couldn't control how I got in and I can't control how I can get out, so, I kinda suspected it is God. There are some things I am battling in my mind with God and I know I can't win but I still try. Your interpretation is very encouraging, straight to the point (like the dream). I just need to do it knowing I have the victory in Christ. Thank you for your time flower

Water is usually spiritual for me. Running the race comes straight out of the bible - running as if to win the prize set before me (Paul - the apostle)....

Are you called to minister and don't really want to?

hey Mia, to answer your question. God has never really shared that with me to go into full-time ministry, I never got that calling even as a child but that still doesnt mind He won't in the future. Right now no He has not called me.

oki then, what is it that you don't really want to do? Because that is the key. You aren't very comfortable with this thing. Remembering that water is usually spiritual....

The key to understanding some dreams is your feelings in the dream. Remember the feelings that you had in the dream, and see where it applies. I'm not saying it is about dream interpretation I'm trying to help you see how to understand your dream through the feelings that you had in the dream because the feelings that you had in the dream are prophetic.

You aren't comfortable with it....

I am not the best swimmer plus I don't like swimming in deep waters. Do you feel this way about dream interpretation?

Do you see where I'm going with this?
The pool's water was deep and the lanes seem long.

I didn't want to get into the pool but I did.

My stroke was not the best, I was scared, uncertain, doubtful and nervous but I did pretty well........ Does this apply to dream interpretation?

I think me second guessing myself brought on these feelings of uncertainity with doing the job well. Everything just seem overwhelming at the time, like I couldn't do it, couldn't swim with all the "big boys". I thought they would fire me after they think "hey why did we hire her" But I feel confident now, like I could cope. I had to pray and convince myself that it was God NOT me that got this position for me. And it is God that will help me cope and do extremely well.

It was before, however, the dream could also be about other issues I was dealing with instead of starting a new job.

That's why it's so important to document them. =) If it was while you were stressed then it is exactly what I would expect. God sends us dreams to encourage us in our struggles.
