Marriage Prophecy

A prophet told my mother that her oldest daughter will be getting marry soon. He told her the man I will marry is always watching me and I do like him. I know the man he is talking about. He goes to my church and I am not the bit attracted to him. I can not see me marrying him. He is not ugly and he loves the Lord but I am not attracted to him. I do not know this man name, all I know about him is ,that he is a minister at my church and he stares at me all the time. He is weird.

My mother does not live in the same city I live in. The prophet described the whole situation. The part about him looking at me and I not liking him is true. I believe God gives us choice.

the impression that you gave in your first post was that you were weirded out and doubtful of the whole thing.

I believe God present people to us and we have a choice. However, I will not choose him.

You may feel this way now, but the way I see God (if the word is of God), His word will not return to him void. Could it be that he is talking about this situation happening way down the line? You may think he's weird now however when God finishes perfecting those things inside each of you, who's to say that things won't be different?

Just another perspective. I believe in choice as well, but I believe MORE in the will of God.

Whose to say the man YOU think he's talking about (the one YOU see watching you) is the ONE?

Maybe there is someone who is secretly watching you. Obviously, I do not mean in a creepy way, but rather a man who lights up when you walk into the room. Also, I agree with you that you should not date the man who you think is weird. Pray to God about it and by all means, let go and let God!!

You know, if it were me in that situation, I might either confront the guy in some way (maybe even just go out of your way just to greet him so that you can eliminate some of the weirdness....maybe the weirdness is just the unknown...once the walls are down, intentions are exposed and the weirdness can go away) or sit behind him in church, so that he'll have to do a 180 in order to stare you down . He sounds like a love sick puppy to me...not weird. It's true that prophets can be wrong, but if he's not, maybe you will somehow start developing attraction towards him if he gives up and backs off for a time. Sometimes we miss that kind of attention when we don't have it anymore. God bless you!
