Christians persecuted by homosexual community in SF, please pray!
Dear friends,
Some of you may have already heard about this and viewed the videos at the links below. We know that Proposition 8 was passed in this past election in California to preserve the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman. And now, the homosexual community has been engaging in protests and demonstrations against it.
But what happened on Friday 11/14 in the Castro District (homosexual neighborhood) in San Francisco was a violent persecution against Christians, which was totally unprovoked (watch the 2 video links below). Believers at the Justice House of Prayer San Francisco (JHOPSF) were surrounded by an angry mob on the streets and their lives were threatened to the point of death. If it wasn't for the police protection and escort, these Christians might have been killed on the streets of San Francisco.
1st video: Live footage of JHOPSF members being escorted out of danger by police from the angry mob (click on "more info" on the side to read the report).

2nd video: JHOPSF girl's eyewitness account of what happened, with Lou Engle (national prayer leader of thecall.com)

The JHOPSF group have been going out to the streets in the Castro District to worship and pray every week for the past year. They have never experienced like this until now. They did not evangelize, they did not preach, they did not pass out tracts. All they did weekly was worship and pray. They were not confrontational and they did not try to convert people at all.
The leader of JHOPSF, Roger Joyner, is a friend of mine. I got to know him in Washington DC at the first JHOP planted by the Supreme Court. Roger and I have stood and prayed side by side in front of the Supreme Court for the end of abortion in America, and we have worshipped and interceded together JHOP-DC and in South Carolina. I know the character, the compassion, and the faith of this man. Let us pray for him and JHOPSF, and for the homosexual community in SF.
We know that what happened was a spiritual confrontation between light and darkness. The angry mob did not know what they were doing. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness in high places (Eph 6:12). But this is a sober hour in America, and us as Christians we need to take a stand for truth and respond like the JHOP people, in love and forgiveness in the face of physical persecution. All of us need to realize that we can be persecuted for our faith here in America, even for just worshipping and praying to God. We need to be bold and courageous, just like the believers in Acts, and not be afraid to live for Christ and preach the gospel. Let us pray for revival to sweep across America.
Blessings,
Sam

Thank you Butterfly. These Christians need protection and this spirit needs to be broken over California.

It is serious... PRAY!!
Dear Friends,
I greet you and want to comment that as I live in Germany sometimes I ignore or pass a lot of information about the things that are happening in the entire world, specially to the christians. But, God has His own means to make His children know about what is prioritary. Last week I have insistently weird dreams where lesbians were bothering and disturbing the peace of christians. I didn't think that it was something real because in the news there are a lot of messages related to the homosexual group and the information is relativated and presented as a normal issue, therefore I avoid to watch them. But, this weekend I learned that Rick Warren was disturbed and attaked after he was at Larry King's show defending his point of view about the marriage and that Miss California was disqualified for the same issue. After that I read this post and view the related videos about what was happened in San Francisco. I was frightened and I think God has given to me a signal to pray about this issue most seriously, and revealed to me its importance. Because no matter that I live in Germany the body of Christ is one, and we must pray one for each other. So from the distance, we are praying in the same spirit. God bless you!
...Their respecting of persons and showing of partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil [as a reward upon themeselves]. (Isaiah 3:9 AMP)

I watched the video and it is amazing to me that in America, just showing the love of Christ can be deadly..May the Lord continue to bless these precious brothers and sisters.
