Part 5: How God showed me the man I'm supposed to be with through dreams and visions

December 24, 2007 “Approval”
I dreamed my ex husband placed my hand in my husbands hand like he was giving me away in marriage. I was shocked in my dream and shocked when I woke up…and very excited!
*this was symbolic that my ex was letting go and that he approved of my husband.

December 27, 2007 “A Leg to Stand On”
I dreamed I was over at my friend’s house. He was someone I hadn’t seen in a long time but his dad had gotten into an accident and lost his legs. So I was over at this guy’s house and I was so nervous about going over there because it had been so long since I had seen his family and it was really uncomfortable. I was worried about them not liking me. I walked in the front door and my friend said “Here, take one of my dad’s legs since you don’t have one. It will help you.” I looked down and saw that I didn’t have a leg so I took his dad’s fake one. I was walking around on it and doing all these things. I kept walking back and forth in front of his dad and he was very impressed with me. Before I left their house, he invited me to come back. I remembered making sure I did everything I could to impress him while I was wearing his leg; I really wanted him to like me.
*When I woke up I knew immediately that my friend was symbolic for my husband and that his Heavenly Father, God, would “give me a leg to stand on” and that I would impress his family when I went to meet them and they would invite me back.

December 28, 2007 “Contest”

I dreamed I was in a spelling contest that Miley Sirus and her Father had going on. My husband and I were entered together as a team but someone else won. But then we all found out that person had cheated and didn’t get the prize in the end. So he and I were the runners up and we ended up getting the prize.
* In real life the very next day I saw on the news where Miley Sirus had an essay contest that someone had lied and cheated so they didn’t get the prize. I took this dream to mean since my ex husband had cheated and lied to me, it gave my husband and I a shot to win the prize: Each other!!!

December 28, 2007 “New Wal-Mart”
I dreamed I was in my old hometown that I had dreamed about before (see the dream entitled “Hometown”). In this dream, I was shopping in the Wal-Mart there. It still had everything I needed, but things were set up different and shelved in different places. I remember being very happy that it had everything in stock.
*After reading the dream I just typed above, I’m just in awe at how the Lord works. I have a lot of my dreams recorded on a tape recorder and I could hear the excitement in my voice as I listened to this dream. By this time I knew that the Lord would use my husband to bring me to that town because he had told me through an email it’s where he wanted to be. I am just amazed. I live in the hometown I never thought id come back to with the husband the Lord picked out for me.

December 29, 2007 “Getting ready for the date”
I dreamed I was at my dad’s house and I was getting ready for a date. I was looking in the mirror putting my makeup on and my dad was standing at the door watching me and he was VERY excited for me. I was so excited too, and nervous, that I messed up on my makeup.
*The night I was getting ready for my first date with my husband, I was so excited and nervous I messed up on my lipstick. It was the first time I hadn’t put it on straight in about 7 years…then I remembered my dream and was encouraged to know that my Heavenly Father was excited about my date!
